Operation: Nursery #2 {the never-ending checklist}

The weekend is here… finally.  Excited for relaxation, family time, house projects, errands and tonight….date night!  I didn’t tackle much today, but tomorrow, we are hitting it hard.  We have plans to head to IKEA, buybuy Baby and Costco for some nursery furniture and gear.  I will probably start on the curtains in the next few days and get those hung, so the room starts to take on a transformation.  The furniture will take 6 – 8 weeks after the order is placed and it doesn’t look anything like a baby’s room in its current state, so I’m hoping the curtains will do the trick.  I mentioned in a previous post that one of my main motivators for getting this blog up and running was to be able to share the nursery progress with all of our out-of-town family and friends.  My husband grew up 2.5 hours from here and my family is out-of-state (with the exception of my sister) and we have friends all over as well.  So… here it is… the ever-so-stimulating to-do list… It looks daunting, but I do get a surge of excitement and motivation every time I look at it.  I have it in my Notes section on my iPad and iPhone and in a MS Word doc and posted in the office.  You get the picture.

As I am writing, Ted is working away in the closet.  He was a little more productive than I was today, I guess 🙂

Here are a couple “before” pictures of the nursery closet and the “after” will be coming down the road.

Now, its off to get ready.  We are going to dinner and a movie and my sister is babysitting – thank goodness she lives somewhat close!!

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here next week!
