Father’s Day weekend is here and I am so looking forward to slowing down a bit to just enjoy time with my boys – all 3 of them! As you probably noticed, I was completely MIA this week and it was just what I needed. Normally, I feel stressed and frantic if I don’t blog throughout the week, but I really tried to allow myself to feel productive and accomplished. I have to admit, not only did I publish zero posts this week, but I didn’t do any editing, writing, sourcing. Not a thing. Our basement project has taken up a huge chunk of my time and energy lately, but so has normal day-to-day life. The boys keep my on my toes all.day.long. Simon recently turned one and decided to drop his morning nap, just as my almost 3-year old determined his napping days were over as well. This mama needs a break!

The zoo, playdates, a visit from my MIL, hosted a work dinner for my husband, contractors in and out of the basement, husband traveling, oh and did I mention, I am starting a decorating business? That was my week in a nutshell. I promise I will dish on the business deets very soon, but I will say I couldn’t be happier for this crazy, busy, AWESOME journey I have just begun! So, while I have lots to share here on the blog – a few follow-ups on the guestroom, basement progress, lighting options for the bar, mirror options for the bathroom, business scoop, etc., etc., I am taking a mini time-out, but promise to be back at some point next week. While I don’t intend to disappoint, I just need to do it for me!
Thanks for letting me vent 🙂
After all that randomness, I am sharing a FREE Father’s Day Printable with you!
2 options available:
Best Dad Ever – 5×7
Best Dad Ever – 8×10
Simply print it, cut it, frame it and gift it!
Below, you can see how I framed it and combined it with a few other items to create a “Dad’s favorite things crate”.
You can do the same!
| Typography growler [no longer available – crate & barrel, similar here] | wood frame [Homegoods – similar here] |
| gilded pretzel bottle opener | vintage Budweiser crate [thrifted] |
I tied black tulle & twine around a couple of my husband’s favorite beers + a few cigars tied up with a ribbon. Obviously, you can put just about anything with the printable to create your own ‘custom’ gift basket or crate.
Have a fantastic weekend celebrating the special men in your life! I hope to see you right back here next week!
What Father’s Day gifts have you bought this year? Are you relaxing this weekend or is it going to be action-packed with Father’s Day fun?!
