With all of this baby boy nursery decorating chitter chatter going on around here, I thought I might as well share a glimpse into the first nursery I decorated. Since we waited to find out the sex with him, we decided to stay neutral with the wall color (Sherwin Williams – Kilim Beige) and selected orange & chocolate brown as the main colors. If we had a girl, I would have added hot pink accents. Soooo, the brown, orange and blue is what you will see below! We ordered furniture and hung curtains ahead of time, but outside of those few items, the rest was done after we were home from the hospital.
Of course I had been pinning away for months and months, so I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like, but didn’t tackle much shopping (mostly online) or crafty DIY projects until the first few weeks home had passed. I took on a few projects for the room décor, so I will do a few follow-up posts with quick tutorials in case you are wondering just how it all came together! I am still in the midst of several projects for Baby #2’s room, as you might have guessed and should have some fun new posts coming in these next couple of weeks. After all, I am 30 weeks now 🙂
