Too much?! Ok, but I just couldnt resist! Today I am sharing some of my recent playroom inspiration. There are soooo many awesome playrooms out there! I actually didn’t think I would get to do another kid / baby space so soon! After finishing up Simon’s Nursery this spring, I thought I would have to wait until Baby #3 to be able to design & decorate another space for a little one. Buuut, we ended up turning our dining room into a playroom before the holidays last year, but all I really did was buy a rug, hang curtains & a few pictures and then a floating shelf. {I will share the details of the shelf disaster in another post} I didn’t really plan to do a whole lot else to it until I couldn’t stand the crazy messes in the cabinets & shelves of the only piece of furniture we have in there {our old dining room buffet}. So I did some organizational strategizing and thought I might as well decorate at the same time. I couldn’t stop myself!
I am going for a Bold & Eclectic look with lots of color (on the muted side) & splashes of gold, while still keeping it slightly masculine. Gold works for boys, right?! I am hoping my boys appreciate the bling at least a little 🙂

The last photo above is from a playroom that is incredible! It is the perfect little space for her special little people. I love all of the photos above for so many reasons, but for one, the gallery walls are A-Mazing! I am a little obsessed with them. They are like jewelry to me… every wall needs to be properly & overly accessorized with frames!
In our playroom, we have light gray walls, a charcoal gray rug & an espresso buffet-turned-toy storage, so I am able to introduce pretty much any colors I want. The room is in progress & can’t wait to start posting sneak peaks of a few projects I have underway!
I will be back soon with a simple DIY project that makes a BIG statement on one of the playroom walls.
