I don’t typically do a whole lot of seasonal decorating, but with a small amount of fall décor from last year and a few new pumpkins & fresh fall flowers, I was able to add a few fall touches throughout the house. Come and take a Mini Fall Home Tour with me!
TGIF! Does anyone else feel that way? I am not sure if I mentioned my almost 5-month old was sleeping peacefully through the night at about 8 weeks. He slept 8 – 10 hour stretches for nearly 2 months until one night…He has been giving me a run for my money these last 4 weeks…Somehow thinking waking up every 2 hours was going to be an enjoyable experience for the both of us…he was WRONG!
Needless to say I have been cranky and tired for awhile now! I know, I know… that’s what happens when you have a baby…you have long, sleepless nights…but he was doing SO good for SO long! I think he is starting to get it straightened out because he only woke up once last night. Fingers crossed that we are heading back in the right direction!
The only time I like to go all out is at Christmastime – silver, gold, glitter & lights… my kind of décor! Decorating for the Christmas holiday can feel like a lot of work, but the process has turned into somewhat of a sentimental one… it brings back childhood memories of putting up our family tree, baking my Great Grandma’s sugar cookies, playing in the snow and listening to Christmas music all throughout the season. Not to mention, who doesn’t totally love everything about the finished product?! I truly enjoy spending as many nights in around the warm fire and lit Christmas tree as possible.
With 2 little ones, I am looking forward to starting our own traditions now, too. Ok, back to Fall…for a little while longer 🙂
Let’s take a mini fall home tour, shall we?
Kitchen table: A plain, glass cylinder vase with fresh flowers placed in a shallow bowl filled with a few pinecones and mini faux pumpkins, flanked with 2 thrifted brass candleholders with white pillar candles.
Media console: An orange, glittery pumpkin beside a bud vase of fresh cut flowers.
Atop a small set of nesting tables in our family room, sits glass wine decanter-turned-flower-vase and a small metallic orange pumpkin. I had never seen these flowers before, but as soon as I spotted them, I knew they had to come home with me. I still don’t know what kind they are, but the label said “product from Ecuador”. I am going to keep searching!
This is our entryway table. I only added a few pops of orange with pumpkins, these swoopy beady florally things?! and a fall wordle, along with an orange candle on top of some baby pinecones. The candle is pumpkin scented too 🙂
And last, but not least, our Fall front door.
Oh and Henry, trying to snag the pumpkins before I could get the shot!
Store-bought twigs, fake leaves and a few pumpkins & baby squash. There you have it!

October 17, 2014 at 8:12 PMFirst, I can totally relate to the baby waking up every two hours! My 7 month old is waking up a lot at night as well! It makes for a tired and grumpy mommy!
Second, I love love your front door! So charming. And your touches of fall are perfect!
