Happy Saturday! And woot woot for the weekend before Christmas! I am popping in quickly today to share a gift guide with you! If you are like me, then you might be rounding up a few last minute gifts for the kids, counting them out making sure both have equal number of packages and finding the perfect stocking stuffers! So, I thought while I am shopping away on Amazon to ensure everything will arrive on time, I thought I would share a few of my oldest son, Henry’s favorite books – as he is most certainly a little book worm! Read on for Book Ideas for Little Readers!
He’s now 3, but here he is at his 18 month photoshoot with Photography by Robin Joy, LLC reading and playing with his carry-around-absolutely-everywhere foam letters
He has had his nose in a book since before he could talk or walk. He could recite the alphabet forwards and backwards at age 2 and before he turned 3, was reading, writing and spelling!
It has made the whole “Let’s get the kids ready for B-E-D or should we S-K-I-P B-A-T-H tonight? thing sort of useless…he calls us out every time!!
You might remember back to the Playroom Reading Nook series I created on the blog last year. I knew our little guy, and someday his younger brother, were going to need a spot to sprawl out and read, so with a little DIY elbow grease, it came to life!

Reading is by far his favorite thing to do! Check out the books below if you are looking for one more thing to add under the tree! Hopefully your little ones will enjoy them as much as he has!
BOOK IDEAS FOR YOUR LITTLE READER
OUR FAVORITE BOOKS FOR AGES 3+
And a HUGE hallelujah that my husband is finally home from his work trip this past week! The littlest fell and split his lip open. So we had an ER visit with some stitches to show Dad when he got home!
After relaxing at home last night, we were ready to hit the ground running today getting everything all ready for the week – shopping, wrapping and some family Christmas movies! I hope you were able to grab some book ideas for your little readers and take a peek at our holiday home, too.
Happy weekend and thanks for being here!

December 20, 2015 at 8:55 AMI like to gift my children book(s) as well. It gets more difficult as they age but we’ve discovered some good series that hold their interest! Of course Diary of a Wimpy Kid, but also the Geronimo Stilton adventure series and Ballpark Mysteries series. These are for kids in grades 1-3 🙂
