Hello! Hello! It feels like it’s been awhile since I’ve hopped on to say hi to you all! 2 weeks have come and gone since I revealed Baby #3’s Sophisticated Neutral Nursery and I decided after a roller coaster ride of a 6 week challenge, I would take some time off to get my house back in order and rest. Working on any space for the One Room Challenge is exhausting, but trying to create a space for your little one in a short 6 weeks while in the 3rd trimester of your pregnancy is absolute bananas! Today, I’m sharing a 33 week bumpdate with you!
Thank you to all who left a comment, sent an email or messaged me on social media raving about the baby’s new digs. You guys are so sweet!! It feels great to have the room off my plate and now really focus on spending time with the boys and catching up on some R & R [or at least trying to!]. Now that the nursery is complete, I thought I would share a another bumpdate with you guys today. I know, right! 33 weeks, already?! I can hardly believe it myself.
LIFE HAS BEEN BUSY!
The majority of the time between my last bumpdate at 28 weeks and now was spent on putting the finishing touches on the nursery, cleaning and purging other areas of the house [boys’ room, master bedroom and the basement]. Whenever there is a room project going on in the house, the overflow of stuff seems to spill out EVERYWHERE and I was ready to take action and get it out of the house once and for all.
I was lucky enough to have my mom here visiting all last week to help me get a few spaces in order.
2 full carloads went to the consignment shop and another 3 trips to Goodwill. And I have a biiig car, you guys. The Yukon was loaded to the max and it never felt so good!
The boys are getting more and more excited each day for baby’s arrival and we were fortunate to have our wonderful family photographer capture some really special moments of them with me and my bump as well as our whole family.
Here are a few of my favorite shots from our recent maternity session.
Think of this as a sneak peek because I’ll be sharing more of my maternity shoot with Baby #3 with you in another post coming very soon!!
All images by Photography by Robin Joy, LLC, our wonderful family photographer we’ve used since the biggest was 6 months old!
THE BOYS ARE KEEPING ME ON MY TOES
The boys also have end-of-the-school year and all things summer on their little brains! The A-Z countdown is officially on in the littlest’s pre-school classroom and we are currently on letter S. Some of his favorites were Donut Day, Hat Day and Pajama Day! Remembering to check the countdown calendar each night to know what I needed to dress him in or send in his backpack the next day proved to be quite the brain exercise for this mama ha!
And last weekend, we celebrated the littlest’s 4th birthday. Although I swore I wasn’t going to host a big bash at the house this far along in my pregnancy, my big-eyed, curly-haired little man asked if his party could be at home and I simply could not say no ๐ We all had a ball this past Saturday with family, friends and neighbors and the stormy weather held off until the next day which was a blessing!
He requested a Blaze and the Monster Machines birthday and he loved every minute! And now the house is filled with a dozen more cars, trucks and tracks, but at least he has some new toys to help keep him entertained come June when Baby comes!! At least that’s what I’m telling myself!
As you can see, it’s been busy, but I knew that this is how things would be. As much as I’d love to be kicking back with my feet up or settling into the nesting phase, the truth is there really isn’t any downtime when you’ve got little ones running around and another on the way. But like I keep saying, going to bed with a bowl of ice cream at 8 pm really doesn’t hurt!
At 33 weeks, the cravings are undeniable. Especially for sweets ๐
I have several posts in the works to share with you before baby comes, but then you’ll definitely see things taper off a bit. Summer is always a nice time for me to slow down on the blog and try to soak in as much summer sun and fun as I can! I’ll definitely be back with a couple more posts for you next week though, so keep an eye out!
