Casual Chic Style Vol. 4

Happy Friday, guys! And happy last day of May! With only a few days of school left we are in the thick of the end-of-year everything around here. Parties, picnics and field days! We are also gearing up for our neighborhoods first Flamingo Friday tonight which is a Summer tradition we look forward to each and every week June through August! Before June arrives, I’m sneaking in my monthly Casual Chic Style post for you today! I’ve got some goodies to share and some items are at unbelievably low sale prices!! Read on for today’s Casual Chic Style Volume 4 – cute Summer outfit ideas!

My office is not finished yet, but I did finally put a full-length mirror in there! So I’m switching it up a bit today and sharing some photos of me wearing some of the pieces. Oh hey, mirror selfies! You’ll see me in two different dresses and my Summer uniform – an easy breezy graphic tee, boyfriend jeans and the cutest gold sandals [which you’ll see in almost every one!]! I pretty much live in this look.

If you’re constantly feeling stuck when you go to your closet for everyday outfits, date night looks or weekend looks, hopefully some of these Summer outfit ideas will help spark some inspiration!

CASUAL CHIC STYLE SUMMER OUTFIT IDEAS – LOOK #1

Yep. This is the one! You’ll probably see me in this type of outfit 6 out of 7 days!

These boyfriend jeans are my absolute new favorite pair of denim! They are on sale for under $30 and feel so comfortable! They have good stretch to them, above the knee distressing and a cuffed raw edge. I’m wearing a size 4 which is typically TTS for me [otherwise I’m a 6 in some jean brands]. They have a loose, “boyfriend” fit and are really flattering! I might even size down to a 2 and order another pair for a slightly more fitted look. I still think with the amount of stretch they have, you’d be fine to do the same. Sometimes I want a more sleek, fitted pant for dressier date nights, etc. so with a boyfriend cut, you can size down one.

Either way, these are a GREAT pair of jeans! 

They look great with flats or sandals [I can’t say enough great things about these gold sandals! They come in several other colors too and are a best seller!], but I’ll definitely be rocking them with pumps, too! If you haven’t tried a boyfriend fit yet, I highly recommend trying a pair on!

And how pretty are the colors in this “Seriously Good” graphic tee! The yellow and pink combo screams Summer to me plus the length is perfect to wear with a front tuck or just hanging loose. 

If you need a new fun, colorful clutch – then this one is for you! It is a navy blue faux sued with the prettiest colorful metallic layered stripes. It is a fold-over style with magnetic closure and the lining is a cute black and white stripe! plus credit card pockets 🙂 on sale for $40!

Here is the same look but with cut-off denim shorts instead. Love the length of these jean shorts and the light wash too!

If you’re into polka dots right now, then you might want to grab this yellow & white dot one too! The plain black button down tank would be a great buy as well.

What I love about this particular straw bag is that it has zipper closure! SO many of the cute straw purses out there have a tiny button or no closing mechanism at all! This way you can keep your things safe and sound inside! I debated between the beige one I ended up ordering and the slightly darker tan version. Both are super cute and I know will get a ton of use! I’ll carry it as a purse or tote bag! It’s neutral and versatile and will go with absolutely everything in your closet – swimsuits and cover-ups included!

I just found this striped satin square scarf and this darling lemon neckerchief and am considering purchasing to tie around the straw bag. Under $10 each! Wouldn’t that be cute?!

*Update: it looks like the zipper closure straw bag isn’t on prime anymore, so I’m linking the drawstring closure straw bag here because it’s the same price and arrives fast!!

FLORAL RUFFLE WRAP DRESS  ||  GOLD STUDDED BLACK BLOCK HEELS  ||  ROUND HANDLE STRAW BAG  

I originally bought this floral print ruffle wrap dress at Nordstrom Rack, but its sold out online, but I found the same dress here and still on major discount. This dress is so slimming and since it’s a wrap dress with strings that tie, you can totally adjust it to sit wherever your waist hits and tie it as tight or as loose as you need to. The ruffle detail around the neck and down to the hem is flirty and fun. I’m 5’4″ and the length is perfect with this heel size! 

I’m wearing it with those gold studded black block heels I’ve been raving about, but I’d also wear this dress with flat sandals for a more casual Summer look.

I don’t wear dresses too often, which is exactly why I bought this one to begin with! I felt like I didn’t have any good ones! All of the dresses in my closet feel dated and out-of-style. This one will be worn this season I can guarantee it! I also love this polka dot ruffle wrap version too.

Yep, another jeans and t-shirt combo!! It’s just my go-to 😉

Now, you know I love me some leopard and I have a lot of it. But when I found this white v-neck t-shirt with a leopard print pocket, I couldn’t restrain myself. No matter how many times I tell myself I don’t need anymore leopard, I find something so different than anything else I have and try to justify it that way.

But come on! The cutest pop of leopard on a front pocket?! It’s only $15, great t-shirt material and comes in 15 color options including a few long-sleeved ones. The pink + leopard tee and black + leopard tee are my next picks 🙂

Those rattan earrings I’ve worn the heck out of are still some of my favorites for Spring and Summer [the ones I first shared in my Spring Break Favorites]. But I found their cute little sister! They are small rattan circles with tortoise acrylic detail!! I love them sooo much! Still lightweight and are just a smaller scale earring which I like sometimes vs. a big statement earring!

I’ve had my Tory Burch black and gold double wrap leather bracelet for year and it has held up so well! It really hasn’t faded or worn at all. The black leather and gold combo is chic and is an edgy statement on your wrist.

BLACK & WHITE POLKA DOT RUFFLE DRESS  ||  GOLD SANDALS

Can you tell how much I’m into these gold sandals!?? I also love the sandals in the caramel color too! I told you you’d be seeing them a lot 🙂

This cute ruffled polka dot dress is a more casual dress, but super fun! I also think you could totally wear it as a swimsuit cover-up to the pool or beach! The ruffle detail is adorable and I love the small v-neck. I’m wearing my normal size small. It comes in 13 color choices including a few long-sleeved options! They also have this casual button down dress with a ruffle hem that I think I would equally love!!
