You know I love a quick and easy app! If we are talking less than 5 ingredients and under 15 minutes [preferably 5 minutes], I’m sold. I have my go-to recipes for easy entertaining that I always come back to, but this Summer I’ve added a new one into the rotation. I can hardly call it a “recipe”, but today I’m sharing this 5 Minute Recipe: Boursin Cheese and Jam Appetizer.
Flamingo Friday rolls around pretty fast each week so I decided that I needed another super quick and easy appetizer recipe in my arsenal. Since you guys seem to like these quick and easy recipes, I’ve decided to share one each Friday the rest of the Summer. I’m making them each week for Flamingo anyways!
This Boursin Cheese and Jam appetizer is literally 2 ingredients, requires no chopping and is always a huge hit! Plus, there are a ton of varieties and ways to shake it up!
HOW TO MAKE THIS 5 MINUTE RECIPE: BOURSIN CHEESE & JAM
Ok, are you ready?!
All you do is take one package of Boursin cheese and pour a small jar of jam or jelly over top of it. That’s it!! If you have a large jar of jelly, then you’ll want to just scoop out a few spoonfuls.
This recipe is very similar to my Raspberry Chipotle Cream Cheese Dip, but since Boursin cheese comes in a variety of flavors, it’s a slight notch up from a brick of plain cream cheese.
I like to use the Garlic & Fine Herbs Boursin cheese with either Blueberry, Raspberry or Strawberry jam on top. It’s that sweet and savory flavor combo that so many of us love! I’ve even made two small mounds side-by-side so there’s plenty to go around. You could use 2 different flavors or keep them both the same.
I usually buy the Boursin at the grocery store, but if you are a Costco member, they have a 3 pack for a great buy.
You can make this dip ahead of time and keep it refrigerated until serving. But the nice part is, there’s no measuring, chopping or baking involved!! So really it takes less than 5 minutes, more like 3o seconds!
I like to serve it with Pita Chips or Pretzel crisps, but your cracker of choice will work.
What’s your go-to appetizer or dip recipe? Do you have one that you can whip up a moment’s notice if you decide to spontaneously host or get an impromptu invite somewhere?!!
See my other 5 minute recipes here and all of my appetizer recipes here! I’m planning to share a new SIMPLE recipe each Friday the rest of the Summer since I’m making them each week we attend Flamingo Friday! I’d love to hear what your favorite Summer recipes are. Especially ones where you always have the ingredients on hand 🙂
