Casual Chic Style Vol. 6

We are approaching that strange in-between-seasons time when it’s still blazing Summer heat outside but all the new Fall fashion collections are being released. It’s 85 degrees but you find yourself wanting to buy all the sweaters and boots?! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale arrives and back-to-school is around the corner. Since its still seasonally appropriate to wear tank tops and sandals, but cardigans and booties are being delivered to my doorstep, I thought I would share a few things I’m currently wearing and starting to style for Fall in this month’s Casual Chic Style Vol. 6 post!

It happens every year right about now. Fall Fashion is here, but the temperature outside is saying hold on a minute! I’ve shopped the Anniversary Sale and am beginning to curate some outfit ideas that will take you from Summer right into Fall. The easiest way to do that is by layering your cardigans and jackets over your t-shirts and tanks and by swapping out your sandals for boots when the weather calls for it.

In today’s post I’ve styled a couple of my purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, a super cute snakeskin tank that will take you right into Fall and a $10 camo cardigan to good to be true!!

CASUAL CHIC STYLE OUTFIT #1

If you haven’t noticed yet, snakeskin print is HOT right now and will continue to be through the upcoming seasons. Snake print sweaters and snakeskin booties flooded the nordstrom sale and I can only see more coming soon! This darling high-neck, ruffle sleeve tank is on sale for $13.99 and is fully stocked in all sizes.

If you love it, grab it! It can be worn with black or white denim as seen above or blue jeans, too. You could also pair it with shorts now.

I will definitely keep this top in the rotation in the Fall and layer it under a denim jacket or even my new charcoal gray faux leather drapey collar jacket you’ll see below!

These Greece sandals are such a versatile sandal and the Greek key cut-out is a cute detail. I have them in cognac and black.

You’ve probably seen this black and white striped clutch in other Casual Chic Style posts and you’ll see it several times in this one. It really is a year-round accessory and goes with EVERYTHING. I love mixing prints in my home and from my closet and you absolutely can’t go wrong with a black and white stripe. It is a classic print and a neutral in my book.

SIZING & FIT INFO:

SNAKESKIN RUFFLE SLEEVE TANK: runs TTS – I have a size small.
WHITE JEANS: run TTS – I have my normal size 27.
COGNAC GREECE SLIDES: I have an 8 for length, but could really use a 7.5 for width. This is always my issue since I have a narrow foot.

CASUAL CHIC STYLE OUTFIT #2

If you love a good Fall cardi. and a hood. and pockets. and camo. then you need this ASAP! I promise this Dark Green Camo Cardigan will not last long! It is only $10 and such a nice, soft, thick material. The style is almost duster length with cute side slits. It’s even available for next-day shipping! Don’t wait on this one!!

This BLACK SCALLOP V-NECK CAMI is my all-time favorite go-to black cami. It can be dressed up or down, and the scallop neck gives it a little something extra. I love when black pieces have a touch of added detail to take it up a notch from a basic black top.

SIZING & FIT INFO:

CAMO HOODED CARDIGAN: Runs slightly large. I have a small, but would almost prefer an XS. The sleeves are long, but can be cuffed and their is plenty of length and room across my middle, so could size down.
BOYFRIEND JEANS: They run on the baggier side since they are boyfriend style. I have these in a size 2 for a more fitted look and the light wash in this same pair, I have a size 4 for a slightly looser/more of a true boyfriend fit.
BLACK SCALLOP V-NECK CAMI: I have a size small, but could probably size down to an XS because I don’t need much room in the chest area. The straps are also adjustable.
BLACK GREECE SANDALS: I have an 8 for length, but could really use a 7.5 for width. This is always my issue since I have a narrow foot.

CASUAL CHIC STYLE OUTFIT #3

This faux leather jacket with drapey fold-over collar in charcoal is one of my keepers from the nordstrom sale. It is buttery soft, stretchy and has such a pretty contrasting material on the interior flap that folds over across the front. The edges are unfinished and its lightweight enough to wear on a cool Summer night.

I have a ton of black jackets, so purchased this one to switch it up a bit. It’s still super neutral and versatile for all seasons. I know I’ll be throwing this one in the mix often! It pairs so well with the snakeskin tank or any gray-toned snake print top for that matter. Love it!!

These lightwash boyfriend jeans are some of my most comfortable jeans. I love the distressing and busted knee and the slightly baggy fit is a nice change from a super skinny jean. I also have these jeans in another wash and size, so see the sizing and fit info for details.

Also, if you are looking for a great versatile bracelet that gives you the look of wearing multiple, but the ease of only putting one on, this is it!! I love this gorgeous beaded wrap bracelet. It will go with everything you wear year-round!

SIZING & FIT INFO:

GRAY FAUX LEATHER JACKET: Runs TTS and have my normal size small. There is still enough room and stretch to wear a long-sleeve top underneath.
BOYFRIEND JEANS: They run on the baggier side since they are boyfriend style. I have this light wash version in a size 4 and then a size 2 in the medium wash for a more fitted look.
SNAKESKIN STUDDED BOOTIES: I have these in a size 8 and definitely needed the 8 [since I sometimes wear a 7.5] because of the size of the ankle opening. I am hoping the start to give and stretch a little with wear.

CASUAL CHIC STYLE OUTFIT #4

BLACK POLKA DOT MIDI-LENGTH DRESS | RHINESTONE SANDALS | STRIPED CLUTCH | STUDDED AVIATORS

I bought this polka dot dress in red as a 4th of July outfit idea and when I discovered how much I loved it, I decided I needed it in black, too! This dress is super flattering, great length, a stretchy, smocked chest and a fun mini polka dot print. It can be dressed down with sandals or dressed up a bit with a wedge or block heel. You’ll definitely get some mileage out of this $17.

I can see wearing this cute dress with a denim jacket and white sneakers this Fall. Yep, I’ll definitely be trying this look!

These rhinestone sandals are another Wal-mart find and these pretty little things are only $8.80! Snag them while they’re still available. It never hurts to add a little sparkle to your outfit. 😉
