The Next 10 Books on My Reading Wish List

I know Summer is in full swing, so I can’t really call this my Summer Reading Wish List. And with 3 little boys, it’s not exactly like my Summer days are spent lounging by the pool with my nose in a book ha! BUT! We did just get back from a week in Hilton Head and I finished my first book, cover-to-cover in what feels like ages. Since I shared snippets and snapshots of me reading on vacation on Instagram, I loved having everyone rooting me on and recommending other books. So I thought it would be fun to compile a list of The Next 10 Books on My Reading Wish List here on the blog!

And then maybe we can all benefit from new book ideas!

I claim to be a former bookworm, but somehow I let my love for reading die down. Until now. I read Where The Crawdads Sing and could not put it down on our trip. I set a goal before we left to finish the book by the time we got home. Wouldn’t you know, I turned my last page right before we boarded the plane for our return flight.

It was wonderful!

There’s been lots of buzz lately, so if you haven’t read it yet, add it to your list!

I knew I wanted to do some reading on our trip and mentioned these books in my What I’m Packing for Vacation post! After I told my mom I had those 2 books in my Amazon cart, she said, “Just order Summer of ’69 because I have Where the Crawdads Sing and I’ll bring it to the beach for you!”

So after we both finished each other’s books, I passed Where the Crawdads Sing to my sister to start. And my mom handed back Summer of ’69. I think we’re going to have fun sharing books again 🙂

Since getting home, I’m a few pages in to Summer of ’69 and can’t wait to get my hands on it again tonight! Here are the rest of the books on My Reading Wish List.

The Next 10 Books on My Reading Wish List

Summer of ’69 – my mom loved it. I’m on page 20 and am hoping to get some reading in this weekend.
Little Fires Everywhere – I’ve been hearing about and seeing this one just as much as I saw Where the Crawdads Sing. EVERYONE is talking about it!
The Wife Between Us – This one has been compared to the suspense of Gone Girl. Loved that one, too.
The Island – By Elin Hildebrand. I bought this one as another option for Hilton Head reading. I think she has 15+ books that I want to read. All of the book summaries look SO good.
Before We Were Yours – This one just came out this May and a ton of you recommended it to me!
The Perfect Couple – another one by Elin Hildebrand. The cover alone makes me think its the perfect beach read. 🙂
Winter in Paradise – another Hildebrand. I’ve got some reading to do!
We Were the Lucky Ones – inspired by a true story of a family separated at the start of WWII
The Friends We Keep – This one is by Anne Green, author of The Sunshine Sisters and The Beach House. Both of these need to go on my list also!
Whisper Network – This one is off of Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club, Hello Sunshine. I can’t wait to get lost in her list of book picks. I’m sure they’ll all be going on my list, too. I just love Reese.

I’m certainly not making any promises on a timeline for these next 10 books, but I’d like to see if I can read 1 book per month. Less time on devices in bed and more time with these books!
