What to Wear on Thanksgiving - 3 Effortless Options - This is our Bliss

Not only do we have to start prepping and planning our menu, but our Thanksgiving Day outfit planning is just as important! One of my top posts from last Holiday season was 4 Simple & Stylish Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas and I totally get why! It’s a day you want to look nice, but comfortable. Cute, but not over-dressed. Sometimes all it takes is a few minutes to think about what makes sense for your own personal Thanksgiving plans. Today, I’m sharing my ideas for 3 Easy Options for What to Wear on Thanksgiving!

I’m going to keep it super simple today with 3 neutral looks that are a great look for Thanksgiving, but will work for date night, girl’s night out or brunch. It seems there are so many different outings and events that take place between now and the end of the year and figuring out what to wear to each of them is always an undertaking!

3 EASY OPTIONS FOR WHAT TO WEAR ON THANKSGIVING

After wrapping up our Style My Closet Challenge at the end of October, I’m even more convinced that when given inspiration, prompts or even just a starting point, outfits are that much easier to pull together!

Hopefully these 3 Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas will help you with your own outfit planning. I’m a casual girl at heart, so I’m not sharing any skirts or dresses, although I am eyeing a few for the holidays!

These looks are casual & chic, pairing denim with a variety of tops – a sweater, a blouse and a cardigan. You can dress them up with heels or dress them down with flats [or slippers!] You can decide what works for you.

And they are effortless because there isn’t much to them! Here is what I came up with!

WHAT TO WEAR ON THANKSGIVING OPTION #1: STYLISH STRIPES & LEOPARD LOAFERS

You may recognize this look from my Simple Thanksgiving Table with Buffalo Plaid post earlier this week. I am a die-hard stripe lover and I love the addition of the burnt orange to classic black and white.

This sweater and black jeans lends itself perfectly to a pair of leopard loafers. Don’t you think?

Stripes & leopard are two of my favorite prints to mix because you can’t screw it up! They just always work together!

It’s hard to tell in the flat lay above, but this $27 sweater has the cutest button detail on the shoulders. A little added detail that elevates the look of the sweater a bit.

WHAT TO WEAR ON THANKSGIVING OPTION #2: SUBTLE SNAKE PRINT & EASY EVERDAY JEANS

I think the look and feel of this snakeskin button-down blouse is so beautiful. It has this sheen to it that gives it a dressy appearance, but its still comfortable. And it’s only $19.99!

You might remember it from the Style My Closet Challenge Day 25: Let’s Go Neutral. That day, I topped the outfit with a cropped cream cardigan and brown booties.

I think it would look equally as cute with the cream popcorn sweater I shared in my Thanksgiving Amazon Finds Under $35 post. It’s longer and cozier and keeps the outfit fairly casual.

Thanksgiving outfit. Done.

WHAT TO WEAR ON THANKSGIVING OPTION #3: CLASSIC BLACK LAYERED WITH A VEST

This is look is so similar to the one I shared last year. This time, I’ve upgraded my go-to Amazon leggings with my “worth-every-penny” faux leather Spanx. Leggings are so key for Thanksgiving day because they are very forgiving. You know what I mean… they’ll expand a bit if you have an extra piece of pie ha!

And these Spanx will give you such nice coverage in the mid-section to start the day with their high-rise and stretchy fit. That slimming, suck-you-in kind of pant!

I have a black lace top [only $26!] layered underneath this gorgeous cognac colored faux fur vest.

It is silky smooth and super cozy. And it has POCKETS! It’s definitely a unique vest because of the color! You could wear any black top or blouse underneath and the longer, the better if you opt for these leggings!

I love warm golden and burnt orangey tones coupled with black. This color combo works so well with leopard print or even snake print since they are true neutrals. This scarf would be gorgeous with the vest, too!

I haven’t pulled the trigger on these boots yet, but I love them SO much and think they’d be the perfect boot for outfit #3 above! I’m either going to add them to my cart to purchase while they’re on sale to wear this holiday season or add them to my wish list and enjoy them in January 🙂

These snakeskin boots are also gorgeous with a thinner heel and an affordable price tag! And I have this snake print bootie in the mule version. The colors are really really pretty and slightly different than what you typically see in snakeskin!
