When the kids are around, it’s guaranteed they’ll utter the words “Can I have a snack?” so many times I lose track. And when I want to swap out the cookies, crackers and fruit snacks for a healthier option, fruit, veggies or these energy balls are my go-to’s. Today, I’m sharing a Mom Approved Snack Idea – Peanut Butter Yogurt Dip perfect for dipping apple slices!
MOM APPROVED SNACK IDEA: PEANUT BUTTER YOGURT DIP
This dip is one of the easiest and tastiest things to make at snack-time [which at our house is 10 am and 4 pm!]
And quite honestly, I love it just as much as they do 😉
I like to make a double batch and keep it in the fridge for multiple snack-time servings.
Here is a yummy, healthy and EASY snack idea for lots and lots of fruit dipping! It’s so simple, it’s hard to even call it a recipe!
PEANUT BUTTER YOGURT DIP INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup Greek yogurt [I use plain or vanilla]
- 3/4 cup creamy Peanut Butter
- Drizzle of Honey
- Apple slices or other fruit for dipping
PEANUT BUTTER YOGURT DIP DIRECTIONS
Simply mix the yogurt and peanut butter in a bowl until thoroughly combined. I use a regular spoon and give it a good stir. Once it’s evenly mixed and nice and smooth, transfer to a serving bowl.
Drizzle honey over the Peanut Butter Yogurt dip and serve with apple slices.
Sometimes, I’ll use Greek Yogurt with Honey from Trader Joe’s – it’s sooo good!
Sometimes I give the kids their own snack bowl with applies and dip and other times, I let them go to town on one large bowl of the dip!
Whatever is left in the mixing bowl, I transfer to a lidded storage container and keep in the fridge until the next snack time. Sometimes they request the fruit dip with breakfast, lunch or dinner, too.
Since all of us are a huge fan of this dip, I could’ve included in the My Crew Approves series! We definitely don’t leave any behind in the bowl!
