Woo hoo! I have a closet update and a sneak peek of the finished space!!
I’ve worked with Liberty Hardware on several projects including hardware for all of our bathrooms and our Laundry Room cabinets, too! When I found out they had launched a closet system, I was ecstatic tor try it out!
To say our old Master Closets [we have a his and hers] were lacking function, organization and visual appeal, would be an understatement. With the help of Closets By Liberty, we were able to replace our old, wire shelving system with a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution.
Closets by Liberty are currently available for purchase at Home Depot, Lowes and Wayfair and thought it would be helpful to share why we love ours in case you have a closet project in mind for your home!

Now for all the details on our new closets!
5 REASONS WE LOVE OUR CLOSETS BY LIBERTY
1 // EASILY CUSTOMIZABLE
When designing the layout with Closets by Liberty, we were able to select how each individual section of the closet would function. From clothes hanging rods, deep drawers, shallow drawers and shelves, you can select the options for your own personal needs. We opted for one full section for shoes using the shelves and could space them out according to the height of the shoes themselves.
I wanted several drawers for folded clothes and accessories, but plenty of hanging space, too! I was even able to dedicate an entire section to longer hanging items like dresses and cardigans with room below to use the bottom shelf.
T chose a similar set-up for his closet since he trusted my design 😉
2 // STRAIGHT-FORWARD DIRECTIONS
The Closets By Liberty assembly instructions were laid out clearly with simple terms and pictures to help guide you along. There is also a short installation video on their website for quick reference.
Once we set-up a couple of the outside frames, popping in the hanging rods, shelves and drawers was a cinch. We were lucky to have my Dad in town to help us with the set-up since we were building out two closets. Each of us had our own assembly stations to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We put the drawers together ahead of time and stacked them up until we were ready to insert them into their designated section.
Once we got a going, we had our method down and things started to move along pretty quickly. All of the components snap into place and *click* so you know they are secure. No second-guessing whether or not something was installed properly.
We put my side together first and by the time we got to Ted’s closet, we zipped right through it. Both 6′ x 6′ closets were assembled in less than a day and a half with 3 of us working together.
3 // DURABILITY
The system is crafted of durable, high-strength aluminum framework and lightweight honeycomb shelves. It’s designed with moveable anti-tip brackets for a safer storage system that easily attaches to the wall. Once the units are upright and attached, your closet feels extremely secure.
I love that the closet itself is strong and sturdy, but the individual pieces are lightweight which makes for easy assembly, especially if you’re working on it alone.
4 // SLEEK APPEARANCE
Can we just say how great this thing looks all set-up?!
Hello, pretty closet!
After we emptied the closet, we removed the wire shelving, patched and painted and then installed new light fixtures. I should have a post ready soon with the paint and lighting details! Once the Closets By Liberty were installed, we slowly started bring our clothing items back in. We took some time to plan out where we wanted certain things located for ease of access and organizational purposes. I plan to share a post on our organizing items and accessories, too!
5 // THE LITTLE DETAILS
From soft-close drawers, beautiful detailed drawer fronts, sleek hardware, sturdy white frame and a long and lean appearance, the Closets By Liberty system not only met our design plan but our desire for increased functionality and organization, too.
All of my closet dreams came true!
Each of our closets has two 6 Foot Traditional systems and a split 4 Foot Linen & Pantry [part in mine and part in his]. Since we had to order two 4 Foot Linen & Pantry systems in order to have 4 frames, we have plans for the leftover “tower” in another lifeless closet! Stay tuned 🙂
