Do you ever feel like when it’s time to get ready to go out, you have nothing to wear?! Every. single. time. for me! It’s only when I take a few minutes to plan out my outfit ahead of time that I actually feel good stepping out of the door. I know we may not all be able to “go out” per say this weekend, but I thought it would be fun to style some Date Night Outfit Ideas to help when the time comes! The best part is you probably have a lot of these pieces [or similar ones] already in your closet…
Valentine’s Day weekend is upon us and even if you’re planning to stay home, wouldn’t it be fun to get dressed up a bit?!
The outfits I’m sharing today are extremely versatile and will work for many different occasions – girls night [in or out], brunch, family dinner and more! And if you want to dress something down, simply swap out the heels for flat booties or mules to change it up.
We’ve all waited a very long time to be able to go out and about so when the time comes, you’ll be ready.
After you’ve made plans, all you need to do is grab your phone, pull up this post and head to your closet! I guarantee you have some many of the pieces I’m styling right in front of you! This isn’t about buying all new. Take a peek around, see what you have and then invest in a few things if you still feel like you’re missing key pieces.
Think of the items that you’ll get the most mileage out of and can wear in multiple seasons.
A feminine sweater and a bold pump [and lip]! My go-to “going out” look is usually a black top and a pair of jeans for date night. Add in some accessories and a fun pair of shoes for something different!
You can go wrong with a satin cami and sexy heels! Add a pair of jeans [blue, white or black] for an easy, elevated look. I can’t get enough of the clear heel trend. They look so great on your foot and can be worn with every outfit. No colors to match 😉
If you want to slip on a skirt, this is the one! I have it in the zebra print and it fits so well. It’s the perfect length, has no show elastic in the waistband, under $30 and pairs with everything. I styled the skirt 3 ways here.
Add a satin cami and a faux leather jacket [I love this puff sleeve one I styled here] for an edgy but feminine look. And a bold pop of red [or pink] always looks amazing with black and leopard!
A springy look with feminine details! Nude heels, a floral blouse and a denim jacket [made even more girly with it’s puff sleeves]! This is my favorite lip color right now and shared it in my 5 recent beauty buys post and I’m swooning over this straw purse. That bow and chain are darling!!
Everyone has been sharing these braded sandals with a square toe and they are in my cart right now. I know I’ll wear them a ton! The braided detail is so good and a pair of nude heels is a closet staple.
My spanx are my go-to leggings to dress up or down. I feel great in them and they’re comfortable to wear. They are high-waisted and suck you in in all the right places. I size up to a medium in them, but my next pair I’m going to order the short / petite so I don’t have quite so much extra length at the bottom.
Throw on a black sweater and a pair of booties or heels and you have a totally date-night worthy look – that took little to no effort!
Add your layers pf jewelry and you are out! Delicate bracelets stacked with a simple pair of studs or a statement earring make this all black look come to life.
