Hello and happy Spring!! We may not be officially welcoming Spring yet, but today does mark the 1 year anniversary of when the world shut down. How its been an entire year I have no idea! With nearly a year of virtual learning, many, many cozy weekends at home and lots of ups and downs, I’d say we’ve adapted to our new normal pretty well over here. Home has been our haven for so many and today, I’m inviting you to virtually step inside mine for my 2021 Spring Home Tour!
I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to join Marty of A Stroll Through Life and nearly 30 other incredibly talented and inspiring bloggers in this year’s Spring Home Tour! A huge thank you to Marty for extending me an invitation to participate and for organizing the whole week!
If you’re coming over from Our Southern Home or Follow The Yellow Brick Home, then welcome! Isn’t Christy’s Spring tablescape the sweetest?!
And if you’re brand new to this little corner of the internet, I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Rachael, a midwestern girl, living in the Chicago suburbs with my husband am a proud #boymom x 3! I love all things girly and glam, a good bargain and a glass of red wine.
After you finish scrolling my tour and popping around the other homes, feel free to check out my past Home Tours, Room Reveals, affordable Fashion Inspo, my Favorite Amazon Finds and more!
You can usually find me here 3-4x per week with my regular series, The Friday Five and Weekend Wants! I hope to see you back here again soon!
Now, let’s take a stroll through our house all spruced up for Spring!
SPRING HOME TOUR 2021
I’m going to walk you through several rooms starting with the Living Room. I’ll like sources where I can and there will be a full clickable, shoppable thumbnail gallery at the end for your convenience!
Com on in and step inside!
SPRING IN THE LIVING ROOM
pink blouse // jeans // match cloche // Chanel book
I’m a sucker for neutrals, but small doses of color make my heart when it comes to seasonal decorating. I couldn’t resist adding my go-to pale pink this Spring, but I fell in love with the idea of a pop of lavender, too.
That’s the beauty of a neutral foundation – any and all colors mix seamlessly!
Pattern play in my pillow game is also a fun way to bring in some visual interest and makes for some bold combos! These floral throw pillows were calling my name from the aisle at HomeGoods. I knew they’d pair so well with my black and white striped pillows that pretty much remain on this sofa year-round.
You can’t go wrong with a black and white stripe!
I ordered a set of these lavender pillow covers in hopes they would add a Springy vibe to the space and they did just that!
Fresh flowers from Trader Joe’s in a few vases around the house and it was instantly Spring-time!
TIP: I love adding several bouquets of fresh eucalyptus to my cart and then mixing them with the other flowers. I like the look of a messy, uncurated vase of flowers and the eucalyptus give it that wild look!
I also love them alone.
This white bust vase was a HomeGoods find and I just knew he’d look pretty darn good with a head full of fresh greens.
Don’t you agree?!
SPRING IN THE DINING ROOM
I’d been waiting and waiting all of 2020 to set a pretty table, but decided I didn’t have to wait any longer! Just because no one is coming over doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a Spring tablesape!
Striped placemats, floral napkins and leopard charger plates were used to create this look and a vase of flowers doesn’t hurt either.
SPRING IN THE FAMILY ROOM
The hub of our home!
The only color I brought in here was the lavender. A 2 pack of pillow covers for $12.99 makes it easy to use for a few months and then tuck away and not feel bad. Swapping the covers on a good set of inserts is the way to go.
I shared the mantel details earlier in the week in this post!
I use stacks of coffee table books all over the house – the *actual* coffee table, nightstand, bookcases, entryway table and here on the mantel as well.
They add height, dimension and are a personal touch. I love finding titles that speak to me or colored spines that work with my theme of the moment. Especially when I score a book at the thrift store for $1.99!
You can see more of our Family Room here.
SPRING IN THE KITCHEN
Does it count as Spring decorating if all you do is add purple flowers? I thought my pop of purple deserved to be in here as well. I love purple and green together!
You can see more of the kitchen here.
SPRING IN THE BEDROOM
We recently refreshed our Master Bedroom just in time for the season. I kept things completely neutral and it continues to feel light and fresh in here day-after-day.
White bedding, neutral pillows, gold lamps and a new subtly striped rug really make this space feel crisp and clean!
I often get asked about my tall gold lamps on my nightstand and although I can’t source an exact match, I did round up more than 30 gold table lamps in this post here! I love to style my nightstand and the lamp has been a constant in here for almost 5 years!
Of course, there are 4 boys living in this house, so the concept of “fresh & clean” is sometimes a figment of my imagination. 😉
Scooting toys and sliding books out of the way to take a picture is pretty typical!
But for now, I’ll take the clean corners and flowers before they wilt and die. It’s been a hard year in so many ways, but on the other hand, we’ve found so much joy in the every day, here at home together.
We’ve experienced the highs and lows of the last year right here between these 4 walls as a family of 5. I joke that it’s been harder to have T home than the kids, but we’ve managed to make it through together.
Decorating has always been a creative outlet for me, even a stress reliever at times, so I’m thankful to still have it in me to do it. Even if it’s just for us to enjoy as well as be able to share with all of you!
Hopefully you were able to find a few nuggets of inspiration here today. I assure you there’s plenty more in the tours listed at the bottom.
Thank you for swinging by!

March 12, 2021 at 10:48 AMHave a shaggy rug like yours in front of gray couch. Please tell me how to clean or pick up the pile. We sit there all the time and it gets matted and gross Dry cleaning is not an option. Costs more than rug. Thanks
Marty
