You can’t go wrong with a classic white button down any time of year, but I especially love this look with jeans and sandals for an effortlessly casual, chic vibe. Today I’m sharing this top and a few other closet staples to carry you from Spring into Summer. Here are 5 Closet Staples for Spring.
I found a great gauzy linen-like blouse at an incredible price and have been wearing it a ton! Not only does it pair well with jeans, but you can also wear it with patterned wide leg pants, a maxi dress, denim shorts or white jeans for a white on white look.
5 CLOSET STAPLES FOR SPRING
1 // WHITE BLOUSE
I mentioned this blouse last week in The Friday Five, but I felt like I needed to touch on it again! This classic outfit is the perfect casual chic Spring look. A white blouse is timeless and when paired with sandals and a spring tote, you’re instantly pulled together without having to put too much thought into it!
I purchased the top in both white and pink and also grabbed this striped one. As you can see here, another way to wear a button down shirt this season is with an easy front tie.
Not only can you tie your top up with jeans or shorts, but layer a white button down over a maxi dress, leave all the buttons undone and then tie a knot!
2 // ON-TREND SANDALS
The braided / quilted shoe trend has created some really cute styles! This nude braided pair is under $35 and can be worn with jeans, shorts or dresses. I may snag the black too, because when it’s nice, you buy it twice!
If you’re looking for another affordable option with a small heel, these strappy block heels have been another favorite. They are chic and super comfortable! The nude color has a pinkish hue to it, but I love how they look on my foot.
A braided or strappy black heel is always a classic closet staple as well. This pair is a low block heel and is the perfect in-between dressy & casual pair.
FAVORITE BLACK & NUDE SANDAL OPTIONS:
3 // CUTE BAG
I’ve shared this color-block straw tote a number of times, but it really is that good! Its one of those bags big enough to be a tote for a car trip or the pool or beach, but also sized well enough to wear it as a purse. The quality is amazing and I love the black details! Definitely a chic Spring & Summer bag IMO 😉
This ruched tote is also a great inexpensive option. The camel color is beautiful and it holds a ton! The shoulder straps are also very comfortable. A great designer dupe under $30!
A statement bag really finishes off the look and pulls your outfit together.
Here are a few others you may have seen me share along with some new finds…
A FEW BAGS I’M CURRENTLY LOVING:
4 // STYLISH SUNNIES
Rarely do I spend money on designer sunglasses anymore. I used to love having a few “nice pairs” but after losing and breaking a couple pair every year ugggh – I just don’t spend the money on them. I love grabbing inexpensive pairs that are still on trend, but I won’t feel guilty about if I lose them or one of the boys steps on them. Yes, its happened before!!
FAVORITE [all Amazon!] SUNGLASSES:
5 // DELICATE JEWELRY
I love a layered jewelry look – on my wrist, neck or ears. It’s a way to wear several favorites all at once. And since their dainty and delicate, it doesn’t feel like a heavy look. Especially when the weather is warm, its nice to have slim and sleek pieces on than ones that are too big and bulky.
I have these 3 pairs in my ears at all times:
sparkle & spike // reversible huggies // bar stud
My current necklace look:
dainty choker // [my mom’s] herringbone [similar here] // coin pendant
Bracelets I’ve been swapping in & out lately:
trio // gold bead // coil // bangle
I’m working on a post filled with all the cute dresses for Spring & Summer so be on the lookout for that soon! I’ve got casual dresses to wedding guest dresses and everything in between!
