We don’t have a true front porch in our new home. While we have a small outdoor entry/walkway out front that I can decorate seasonally, it just doesn’t feel quite the same. Especially for Fall! Loading up the front porch steps with mums & pumpkins was always my favorite way to ring in the season! Since I won’t be sharing any decorating ideas in the front this year, I thought it would be fun today to share a few Fall Front Porch Ideas from our porches of the past!

FALL FRONT PORCH IDEAS
When planning my outdoor Fall décor, I usually try to come up with a color scheme before heading out to buy mums or pumpkins. From there I would play around with different planters & pots for the various sizes of mums. I usually finished by scattering mini pumpkins and tucking them around bigger ones.
Mums & real pumpkins don’t stand a chance in the desert heat, so for now, I’ll just think back fondly on these old porches!

I went with all white or light-colored pumpkins since there was so much color going on!
Last year’s layered doormat combo was one of my very favorites.

HARVEST STYLE
This one is an oldie but a goodie! This harvest style porch full of cornstalks and bales of hay was one I created at the house before our last house, where we lived from 2012-2016. That home will always hold a very special place in my heart, as all of our homes do and will, I’m sure. We brought both Henry & Simon home from the hospital to that house, so my very first memories as a Mom were made there.
We were so in love with our front door there. It was absolutely gorgeous!
