5 Beauty Essentials to Refresh Your Makeup Routine
Posted on January 27, 2022
Every now and then its nice to do a little beauty refresh. Try out some new products and work them into your daily getting ready routine! I’m not a get-ready-every-single-day kind of girl, but when I do, it’s amazing how put together I feel. Even with just a few simple swipes! Today, I’m sharing a few products I’ve been loving that I think you will too. Here are 5 Beauty Essentials to Refresh Your Makeup Routine!
When it comes to beauty & skincare, I will spend some money for premium products, but I’m not ashamed to admit drug store beauty products are also in my makeup bag! In fact, a few of my go-to favorites are under $10.
Today I’ve got a mix of high & low products, so there’s something for everyone. A nice variety of items and maybe something you haven’t tried before. And maybe it’s just the thing you add to your makeup bag and you feel like a million bucks when you use it 😉

Several items I’ve just recently discovered and another is one I use daily, but like to refresh with a new set every so often.
5 BEAUTY ESSENTIALS TO REFRESH YOUR MAKEUP ROUTINE THIS YEAR
When Courtney Shields launched her beauty line, DIBS, I was like, “where do I sign?!” I ordered each shade of this “status stick” which is essentially a gorgeous highlighting stick for face and body. Its creamy, smooth and gives you an absolutely stunning glow.

I’m wearing shade “Good life gold” on my face & “Unbothered Bronze” on my collarbone & chest. “High Road Highlight” is a really pretty rose gold I’ve also used.
LOVE this stuff!
I use on my cheeks, tip of my nose, above my lips and the bronzer is so pretty on your arms, shoulders and collarbone!
I don’t mean to be dramatic, but this product was life-changing. I fill in my brows with a pencil and then apply this brow “glue” to keep them in place. Brush them upward for a laminated look without paying for actual brow lamination.
I have my eyebrows microbladed [I’m due for a touch-up] but this gel keeps them upright & in place.
I’ve used these inexpensive sponges for years. I wet it, ring it out and then blend in my concealer with it. I’m currently using this creaseless concealer and am really happy with the application and coverage.
You can find every neutral shadow color option in this palette right here. From light to dark and a few shimmery shades. This eye palette is beautiful all around!
I didn’t start using a setting spray until a couple years ago. I’ve tried several and this is the one I’m currently using and loving. Apply it after your makeup is complete and this will help keep it in place and even enhance it a bit. It’s called All Night Setting spray for a reason 😉
Hopefully you’ll pick an item to try. You just might be surprised at how adding in a new product or two to the mix can really switch things up and give new life to your makeup bag. I know my routine is more fun when I keep things fresh by trying new things!
