Happy almost weekend, girls! It’s been quite the whirlwind so far this month! So many fun and exciting things going on in the Phoenix area with the Waste Management Open and all of the local Superbowl festivities in the same weekend! We then rolled right into Valentine’s Day, my birthday and school conferences this week. Let’s chat and catch up in today’s The Friday Five.

February is a short month and since we’ve been on the go nonstop, I feel like I’m going to blink and it will be March!
We’ve had a cold winter here in AZ but I will never complain because I know my midwestern people would roll their eyes and I’d never hear the end of it. But temps have been low nonetheless 🙂
Here is what’s been going on over here!
THE FRIDAY FIVE
ONE // CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY
I celebrated my 38th birthday on the 15th and being an “almost Valentine’s baby” the flowers and goodies come back-to-back! I was spoiled with Starbucks 2 mornings in a row, surprise deliveries, a special sushi lunch set-up at home, family bowling, takeout for dinner, cake and lots of snuggles with my boys.

They actually had early release for conferences so we decided to go bowling to break up the afternoon and do something fun to celebrate. My parents joined us and then we headed back to our house for dinner & cake.
It’s always so wonderful to hear from friends near and far and I’m extremely grateful to be able to celebrate another year on this earth. After losing a close family friend earlier this month, I’m trying to take in the positivity and opportunities each day presents because tomorrow is never promised.
A big thank you to everyone who took the time to add some extra light and love to my day and week!
TWO // WASTE MANAGEMENT PHOENIX OPEN
We had a slow start to the week coming off of the WM Open and the Superbowl. I kicked off the Open week by heading to see Chris Lane, Lainey Wilson & Dustin Lynch with a group of girlfriends on Wednesday night at the Bird’s Nest. Amazing show!
They were all phenomenal, but Lainey Wilson killed her performance! She even brought out her Yellowstone co-star to say hi. We loved the quick cowboy cameo 😉
Then, T and I went back on Saturday to watch golf and see the Chainsmokers perform. A long day & night with insane crowds, but we had the best time. It didn’t quite compare to being on the 16th hole last year when Sam Ryder hit a hole-in-one. The 16th hole is known as the party hole and let me tell you it lit up like no other in 2022.
This year, The WM Open was especially packed because of all the fans also in town for the Superbowl. If you’ve been to the Phoenix Open, then you know it’s one massive party from sun up to sun down for nearly a week straight. We can’t keep up like we used to, but we gave it our best shot.
Let’s just say we were pretty pleased with our decision to stay home and watch the Super Bowl. Sweatpants, wings and chips & queso on the couch was just what the doctor ordered!
THREE // SUPERBOWL EXPERIENCE @ THE PHOENIX CONVENTION CENTER
We did get a taste of all of the Superbowl action when we took the boys to the Phoenix Convention Center for the Superbowl Experience.
They got to play games, run drills, dance with the DJ, get autographs, view various exhibits [trophies, cleats, helmets, locker-room set-ups] and more.
It’s pretty cool to be a part of everything the community puts on when your city hosts the Superbowl!
FOUR // TRAVEL STYLE
Does anyone else have Spring Break and travel on the brain?! I shared An Easy Travel Outfit Idea this week and thought I’d share it again in case you missed it.
