The Friday Five

Hi friends!! We’ve been back in school for about a month now and are really in the groove of the new year. I was seeing all of my friends in the Midwest and in other parts of the country getting their kids ready to head back this week, so I hope everyone is off to a great start! It seems like forever since we’ve caught up on a Friday, so let’s do it today! I’m here with a new Friday Five, so let’s go!

Fridays here are my favorite! I get to casually fill you in on random, new finds, sales you don’t want to miss & more! So grab your coffee or wine and let’s catch up!

THE FRIDAY FIVE

ONE // CHEERS TO 12 YEARS

T and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary on July 30th.

We spent the morning with the kids and watched our wedding video.

I remembered that some friends of ours said that each anniversary, they had a tradition of watching their wedding video with their daughter and I decided that was a tradition I wanted to start with our boys.

They had only ever seen wedding photos, so seeing live action from the day and night was a lot of fun for them. We actually hadn’t watched it since our one year anniversary ourselves!

After that, we snuck out for pedicures in the afternoon. After spending the last 2 anniversaries on the golf course in the 115 degree heat, I decided this year we were going to skip and do a little pampering indoors instead. Maybe next year, we’ll head back to the course, or maybe we’ll go all in for a full-on spa day. We’ll see how I’m feeling!

The kids saw us off and he headed out for date night to celebrate.

For dinner, we went to Steak 44 in Phoenix. Everyone raves about this place and we know understand why. Incredible food, delicious drinks and a gorgeous atmosphere.  I can’t wait to find another reason to go back!

We enjoyed ourselves so much and even caved for dessert. It was a warm caramel buttercake with vanilla ice cream and it was absolutely dreamy. T actually had to catch a flight that night for work, so we lingered at the restaurant and then I dropped him off at the airport around 9 pm. The kids were in bed when I got home which was icing on the cake.

TWO // GIRLS WEEKEND IN PINETOP

My very first trip up to Pinetop, Arizona and it did not disappoint. Pinetop-Lakeside is a popular Summer getaway destination for residents of the Valley. It’s a beautiful place only a few hours north of Phoenix with cooler temps and unbeatable views. Many families spend long weekends or even full Summers up north to escape the heat and I now understand why!

My girlfriend invited a group of us to join her at her in-laws’ cabin for the weekend so we could hang out and have some fun. We were able to celebrate her birthday, play pickleball and relax and unwind!

We enjoyed hanging out on the deck, a couple dinners out, pickleball, LOTS OF GAMES, LAUGHS, and even some wine challenges in the woods. More on that soon!

I’ll have a full trip recap on the blog for you next week, but here is a quick photo dump for now!

THREE // MY AMAZON STOREFRONT

I must not have chatted much about my Amazon storefront in the past because I had at least 3 people tell me this week they didn’t know I had one! I typically link most of my finds through the LTK app, but I actually have a ton of my favorite products linked by category directly on Amazon making it easy for you girls to shop my tried and true faves!

You can get to my storefront by clicking here. And if you’re ever looking for it while on Amazon, you can use this exact url: www.amazon.com/shop/thisisourbliss

I’ve added a few new categories [Fall, Tennis & Pickleball finds and more] so be sure to stop over!

FOUR // FREE PEOPLE LOOK-ALIKE TEE & MY FAVORITE TENNIS SKIRT

Two new Amazon favorites! The first is this Free People look-for-less. I saw this rose graphic tee on Amazon and immediately recognized it from the FP website.

The Amazon version is exactly half the price and they look nearly identical.

I ordered the purple option in a medium for length with biker shorts, but if you want the exact dupe, grab the gray & pink one here.

The Amazon one comes in several colors and I’ve linked them below:

And my newest favorite tennis / pickleball skirt is this darling pleated one and its on sale for under $25 right now. It falls a little lower in the front and back and scoops up slightly at the side. And the mini pleats are the cutest!

I have the black version and just ordered the white when I saw it was on sale. I typically wear a small in my tennis skirts, but this skirt doesn’t have quite as much stretch as others, so I wear a medium for a better fit in my hips.

It is so cute!

FIVE // THE STATEMENT BLOUSE I CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT

I’ve shared the Miranda blouse before since they keep it available year-round year after year. But I’m actually not quite sure if this color is a new addition, or if its just calling my name extra loud this time around. I LOVE it! I want it! And I just might have to order it.

I feel like it’s the perfect Fall statement blouse. Both style and colors considered. I’ll keep you posted if I end up going for it. It’s a bit of a splurge, but I know it’s a good one. My mom has had this one for several years and she looks fabulous every time she wears it!

That’s it for today! We’ve got a full weekend of birthday parties, baseball practice and all the weekend stuff!
