The Friday Five

Hello, hello, friends and happy Friday! We are 2 weeks out from Thanksgiving and one week away from wrapping up our Fall Baseball and Basketball seasons. The boys are off school today in honor of Veteran’s Day so we plan to have a low-key weekend before the holiday craziness that’s on its way. Today, I’m back with The Friday Five!

If you’ve missed any past posts in the Friday Five series you can get caught up here.

With the holidays right around the corner, I have so much content to share, so I’m going to try to do my best to get a Friday Five post out more regularly [ideally every week!] to be able to share the random tid bits, finds, ideas and sales I stumble upon in hopes to help make your life a little bit easier!

If you have any requests for things you’d like to see here – style, home, hosting and more, please let me know! I have some holiday “what to wear” posts coming up as well as gift guides, recipes and more.

Ok, let’s get into it this week!

ONE // THANKSGIVING TABLE CENTERPIECE

I created this mini pumpkin-filled floral centerpiece last year, but thought I’d reshare in case you’re looking for a way to elevate your Thanksgiving table in a couple of weeks!

Everything was bought from Trader Joe’s and was so easy to do. You could purchase mini pumpkins and flowers from any grocery store though!

I simply filled the vase with stacked pumpkins and added flowers to the center. The full tutorial can be found here! It was so beautiful sitting on the table!

TWO // HOLIDAY LOOK & 30% OFF WOMEN’S APPAREL, BASICS, SHOES & ACCESSORIES @ TARGET

In last week’s Friday Five, I shared that I ordered a few pieces from Target as holiday outfit options, but they hadn’t come in yet. Well, they arrived and they are GOOD! And even better, they are 30% off right now! I put together this look with a pair of trousers I already owned and now I can’t wait to wear it this season!

The earrings come out to $5.40 & the top is now under $20! Both are fabulous for the holiday season. I can’t wait to pair this super fun top with jeans for a dressy casual look!

All apparel, basics, shoes & accessories are currently 30% off with Target Circle, so if you’ve been eyeing something, now is the time to grab it!

Here are some of the holiday items I’m eyeing:

THREE // HOLIDAY OUTFIT IDEAS – ARE YOU READY FOR THEM?!

I created a few holiday outfit idea boards this week and thought I’d share them here until I make a few more for a full blog post – similar to this What to Wear for Thanksgiving post or my Fall Style Guide.

FOUR // DINNER RECIPE WE LOVED: HULI HULI CHICKEN

Last week, I was searching Pinterest for an easy dinner idea and one that ideally involved chicken and the crockpot since I had appointments for the boys that afternoon. I stumbled upon this Crockpot Huli Huli chicken recipe and decided it was a go since we had just bought & sliced up some pineapple!

The only change I made swapping out the chicken thighs for chicken breasts since that’s what we had on hand. I also added some salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and ground ginger to the crockpot since the recipe didn’t call for any spices or seasoning.

I served it over white rice [I used a pouch of microwavable jasmine rice] and grilled some pineapple and onion to serve with it, too.

Everyone gobbled it up and even asked for seconds!

I highly recommend! The boys now refer to it as “that pineapple chicken you made”! I’ll definitely be making it again.

FIVE // GIFT GUIDES

NEW Gift Guides are on the way!

Every Tuesday, starting next week, I’ll be sharing a new gift guide on the blog! I’ll probably have them uploaded into my LTK profile beforehand, but just know they’ll be published and live here on the blog each week! I love putting these together for you girls for all the people!

Your sister, bestie, MIL, husband, kids, stocking stuffers and even a wish list for yourself – I’ll have you covered!
