The Friday Five

Hello out there and happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are hoping to have a low-key weekend to just relax and be together while the boys are off school. Spending time with friends, decorating for Christmas, watching movies and doing some holiday shopping. Today I’m here with The Friday Five, so let’s jump into it!

If you’ve missed any past posts in the Friday Five series you can get caught up here.

I will be sharing a new Weekend Wants tomorrow with an updated list of all of the Cyber Monday deals and discount codes, so be on the lookout!

Ok, now let’s catch up!

THE FRIDAY FIVE

ONE // THANKSGIVING DAY SNAPSHOTS

We went to my aunt’s house and spent the afternoon & evening eating, drinking, supervising the kids in pool & hot tub, playing games [LCR is our favorite holiday tradition] and holding my cousin’s new baby. We are so thankful to have family nearby to be able to share the holiday with without having to travel and also for blue skies, sunshine and 75 degrees in November!!

And this is what I wore:

TWO // ANTHROPOLOGIE STYLE, WALMART BUDGET

I had so much fun rounding up these Walmart finds that reminded me so much of Anthropologie items! I love shopping Anthro [and now is a great time to do so since they are having 30% off sitewide & extra 50% off sale] but some of the fab Walmart finds are under $10 – like WHAT?!

You can shop everything by clicking here.

I’m obsessed with this darling floral coffee mug [under $5], this pillow and this wood & multi glass bottle vase!! The white ribbed planter is gorgeous and I can’t get over this tall fluted vase and this smaller fluted vase either.

I have a few more finds that didn’t fit in my collage, so click on the items below:

Yes! All Walmart!

THREE // APPLE GOAT CHEESE BITES

I ended up making these at the last minute to take to a friend’s house. She asked me to bring an app and I knew I had stuff to use up! I made Goat Cheese Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Dates [a slight twist on this recipe!] to take to my aunt’s for thanksgiving so thought a slight variation to my Cranberry Baked Brie Bites would be fun to try. I cut up the crescent roll dough and then did diced apple and goat cheese with pecans and hot honey. So good. I might do a full blog post with the recipe, but you can use this one and then just sub apple chunks & goat cheese for the cranberry & Brie!

FOUR // CASSEROLE CARRIER FOR THE WIN!

Tis’ the season for making and taking all the things! I would say I’m so thankful for my casserole carrier this year! I got it for Christmas last year and since its a double one, you can stack 2 dishes inside of each zippered section and your item will stay hot! Like really hot! It makes traveling to friends’ and family’s houses a breeze. I highly recommend grabbing one if you love to cook and bake but usually have to take your dishes to someone else’s house!

FIVE // THE BEST HOLIDAY PLAID SHIRT!

Here are 3 easy ways to style this $12 plaid top! Its the perfect plaid for the holidays – not too green, not too red. The shirt is white, black, gray, red & a muted olive green and I love it! These straight leg Levi’s are new and are also on sale for BF/CM so grab them now! I’m in a 27×27 and the color is Summer Slide – Light Indigo.

New favorite! I’ve worn them 3 times in the last week!

BONUS // NEW CHAIN EARRINGS

My recent Amazon purchase was this chain link earring. I have it inserted in my 2nd and 3rd piercing and love the movement of the chain! Its only $11 and is so pretty.

I’ve linked a few other pretty Amazon earrings below:
