The Best Self-Care Essentials

The best self care essentials = This is our Bliss

January is always the month we start to re-evaluate our goals and routines. I love a fresh start and working some self-care habits into my “new year, new me” routine. It feels great to take time to do things I love that are good for my soul. Sometimes it’s as simple as doing a face mask or lighting a candle to read before bed. Whatever it is be sure to incorporate a few items into your daily or weekly schedule this year. Here are some of The Best Self-Care Essentials for creating these routines!

Aside from the products shown in the collage image in today’s post, other things I do for self-care include simple things such as:

  • lighting a candle
  • reading a book for 10 minutes versus mindless scrolling [while wrapped in a cozy blanket]
  • sipping hot tea
  • going for a walk
  • meeting friend for coffee
  • doing a deep conditioning hair mask or leave-in conditioner treatment

Other self-care products I personally love or have been recommended are below!

SELF-CARE ESSENTIALS FOR THE NEW YEAR: THE DETAILS

dry brush // I’ve tried this, but never stuck with it! I’m going to start dry-bushing again. The benefits include exfoliation by removing dead skin cells, circulation which improves blood flow & reduces puffiness & cellulite, lymphatic draininage to boost immune system and overall relaxation.

ElectroGLO electrolytes // This is something new I tried after recently being introduced to Rajani MD Wellness & skincare last year through a brand partnership. I love adding these into my daily routine for a little boost! It helps to hydrate your skin from wihin and ultimately reducing wrinkles and boosting your natural glow.

LED face & jowl mask // I started to incorporate this red light therapy mask into my weekly routine last Fall. I try to do it every Sunday and then one other day during the week.

You strap it on your face and turn it on for about 10 minutes. You can choose red light, blue light or a mix of both – each providing various skin benefits such as: skin cell regeneration to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, soothe & reduce redness and inflammation, and improving skin health, collagen production and tightness. It has an automatic timer for shut-off and its rechargable so its cordless when in use!

cleansing & softening shower gel //

facial ice roller // I’ve been ice rolling my face for years! Love to do it on the weekends after a late night to reduce puffiness and under eye issues.

pure coconut bubble bath // How luxurious does this sound?! If you have a bathtub, be sure to grab one of these, too.

hair & body mist // Yum! A little spritz of this to make you feel fresh & smell amazing!

revitalizing body lotion //

self-tanning drops // I love using these drops on my face and body. I mix a few drops into my facial moisturizer or body lotion and then apply on skin. It then provides a a nice, gradual glowy tan!

facial dermaplaner [face razors] // This is one part of my routine I’d like to be more consistent with! Have you tried these? I’ve tried it once before but they are and have been all the rage!

tinted moisturizer w/ SPF // I use shade medium. Love this for working out or playing tennis when you want some moisture and a slight tint to cover imperfections + sunscreen all in one!

conditioning lip sleeping mask // I’ve used this for a couple years too and have tried several scents. Feel so good on your lips!

facial steamer // I’ve had mine for a couple years now and it really does feel like a spa treatment when I use it. You’ll want to wash your face first and then use the steamer. It will open up your pores and clear them out making it easier for your skin to absorb oils and serums. A steamer is also hydrating and softening!

scalp & body scrub //

collagen cleansing balm // Elemis is a great brand for skincare and I’ve tried a couple of their facial cleansers. They are excellent quality and make your skin feel like a million bucks.

eye masks //
