December Style My Closet Challenge – 31 Days of Holiday Style

Yes, we’re back again! Can we all agree how much easier it is to get dressed when someone tells us what to wear?! Even a little planning ahead on your own does wonders. There’s nothing like frantically trying to pick out something to wear when you haven’t taken a few minutes to style an entire look! With the hustle bustle of the holiday season upon us, Heather and I decided to host another Style My Closet Challenge! This December Challenge edition is full of holiday-themed looks to carry you from the 1st through NYE, full of sparkle, plus plenty of comfy & cozy looks! Today, we are introducing 31 Days of Holiday Style – December Style My Closet Challenge!

Basically, my girlfriend, Heather of Southern State of Mind and I set out to get dressed each day in the month of October. Sounds easy, right?! Well, the whole idea behind it is to wear what we already have in our closet. We both have closets filled to the brim and more options that we know what to do with. So with a little time and planning, we created 31 themes and shared them with you all in hopes that we all could fall in love with our closets again!

We had SO many requests for a November and December challenge, so we thought we’d take a short break to regroup [and breathe a sigh of relief that we could actually go a few days in yoga pants and sweatshirts ha!]

DECEMBER STYLE MY CLOSET CHALLENGE – 31 DAYS OF HOLIDAY STYLE

A FEW HELPFUL REMINDERS:

• Don’t take the themes too literally.

They are just thought-starters to help you remember things you own and could pair together. Dig way in the back and find that plaid top or that striped sweater!

• Don’t stress out if you miss!

Jump back in on the next day or later in the week. Or only play on the weekends, etc!

• Don’t feel like you have to go out and buy all new clothes to participate.

Be creative with what you have. We both decided to not buy any new clothes or shoes during the month of October. #hellosavings

• Join us on social media!

Share pictures in your feed on in your stories and tag our Style My Closet Challenge account and use the hashtag – #stylemyclosetchallenge. We’re also going to try to put out several threads on Facebook throughout the challenge for you to share there. It seems there are different audiences between the two platforms, so we’re sorry if we didn’t share more over on the Book!
