HOW TO MAKE A HEART SHAPED CHARCUTERIE BOARD IN 3 EASY STEPS
Simply follow these 3 steps to prepare your fruit, cheese and cracker board in the cutest heart shape! You can assemble it in minutes and here’s how!
STRIPED TOP || COIN NECKLACE || ROUND WOODEN BOARD
STEP 1 || GATHER INGREDIENTS
To create my heart-shaped charcuterie board, I purchased the following items from Walmart:
- red grapes
- strawberries
- cherries
- raspberries
- watermelon
- white cheese [I used Gouda & Havarti]
- mozzarella balls
- Wheat Thins
- Triscuits
I wanted to go for an ombré effect, so I stuck with fruits and cheeses in the same color family.
STEP 2 || LAY OUT THE INGREDIENTS IN THE SHAPE OF A HEART USING VERTICAL ROWS
I began with the right side of the board and worked my way from darkest to lightest across the board from right-to-left, to achieve a graduated color look / ombré board.
So first up, were the red grapes. I made a vertical line on the right using about 15-20 grapes.
Next, I added sliced strawberries to the left in a slightly smaller row. I worked my way down the ingredient list, adjusting the size of the rows to create a loose *heart* shape.
STEP 3 || ADD YOUR CRACKERS AROUND THE OUTER EDGE TO CREATE THE HEART’S BORDER
Lastly, I placed Wheat Thins all the way around the outline of the heart to create a cracker border. This really made the heart pop and also provides a delicious, slightly salty addition to the board!
And what’s a girls night in without some Rosé?! I set out champagne flutes filled with Rosé for the girls to grab when they arrive.
Sips & snacks are essential ingredients to any girls night in!
And for a bonus snack, top your favorite cracker [aka Triscuit!] with a mini caprese salad helping.
A sliced grape tomato, mozzarella ball, chopped basil & balsamic glaze on top of a Triscuit is one of Chef Levi’s go-to recipes for easy entertaining!
What do you like to do to dress up your crackers?! Do you think you’ll give this heart-shaped charcuterie board a shot?! So adorable for a Galentine’s Day Party!
But heck, I’ll take a yummy fruit, cheese and cracker snack board in the shape of a heart any day!
Any excuse for a girl’s night.
Am I right?!
Any night, just name it and I’m there! Or always up for hosting, too!
I love adding an extra special touch to take the ordinary to the extraordinary, but in all honesty, it really didn’t take very long to put together. And I think the cute heart shape goes a long way in making an extra special presentation for your best gal pals! ❤
