Let’s be honest. I am a Pinterest fanatic. I browse that site all day, er’day! It seems I can’t get enough. Most of my kitchen creations are pinspired as well as ideas for decorating, DIY projects, organization tips, finding new blogs to follow…. you get the picture. Pinterest is one of the coolest websites out there and I only wish I would have known of its existence during wedding planning time. Oh well…

While using Pinterest to gather decorating ideas for various rooms in our home or looking for cute outfit & accessory ensembles, I was constantly coming across these Inspiration boards or Design boards. They look like a collage of various things in a room. You’ve seen them. Couch, curtains, a rug, lamp, little circles with different shades of paint colors, a piece of art, etc. All things put on the board to inspire a room transformation, maybe where to buy it and how much $. They are all very different, but are all so wonderful! I have been wanting to make my own “inspiration board” but didn’t really have an entire room I was ready to redo. Until now… Baby boy #2’s nursery!
By browsing nursery color and design options on Pinterest and other blogs, I decided I was going to go with a navy blue & lime green color scheme. Since the walls in that room (currently being used as a guest room) are gray, I thought these colors would look nice. I found this amazing website, http://theinspirationboard.com/users/login and followed the steps to create my very own board.
NURSERY INSPIRATION BOARD FOR BABY #2
I was able to choose a frame, pick a background, insert photos, create “washi tape” & thumbtack images and enter text. From there, you can save the image to a gallery as well as download it to your computer, email it, etc. It was so much fun to play around with. Pretty sure I will be back to create more in the future!
So there you have it. This is the look I am going for in the baby’s room. Classic navy & stripes, but a little funky with the lime green and hopefully some fun, modern prints and patterns to keep things interesting. Rest assured, I will be blogging (a lot) as I make progress in the nursery. Keep checking back for details on what items actually get purchased and enter the room to stay before the baby comes in May.
