The days, weeks, months and years… I have no idea how time can slip away so fast. I am now counting down the DAYS until BBB#2 is here. It just doesn’t seem possible that our family will be growing from 3 to 4 in such a short amount of time. Over the last couple of weeks, I have definitely started feeling the strain & struggle of chasing around an almost 2 year old while being this pregnant! Henry seems to be growing older and wiser by the hour and I am feeling tired and huge! He has a mind of his own and each trip up and down the stairs or in and out of the car is finally starting to wear on me. Not to mention, he has a bad cold this week, so I had to lug the poor guy to the doctor today 🙁 There is no reason to be all doom & gloom here… lots to be happy about and thankful for! My mom was just here for a short visit this week to help with Henry and help me around the house. We cleaned and organized the baby’s room (which is about 90% complete, yay!), got the guest rooms ready, did 97 loads of laundry, made a drop-off to Goodwill after sorting through massive amounts of STUFF that has accumulated around here and relaxed a little too. She would move in next door if she could, so her being more than 10 minutes away (ok, 4 hours), can sometimes be tough. We try to cherish each and every visit & make the most of it! Now that she is gone, I am looking forward to the weekend and I don’t care if we do nothing at all! I just want to spend some quality family time together before the newest little man arrives.
As I mentioned, the nursery is oh so close! It has been such a fun experience working on the design and all of my little projects for in there. If you’ve missed any of them, you can find them here: Nursery curtains, closet makeover, lampshade, Nursery art and A to Z bookends.
I will have several more project posts to share before he is here, as well as after. I’ve been taking pictures and working on tutorials, but don’t want to give away too much of the room (especially, one top secret project that would give away the first letter of his name!!) I will definitely be posting these later on, though.
I did use my Silhouette Cameo this week to make a little piece of word art to sit on my entryway table. I usually have a holiday wordle in this frame, but decided to switch it up for a little while. I will post photos of my new art tomorrow!
Ok, I suppose I can share a sneak peak of a shelf in the baby’s room.
No need for a tutorial here! I basically bought Dollar Tree dinosaurs and spraypainted them silver. It adds a little fun flare to the room & even gives it a high-end look. Here are a few places I found inspiration to make them.
