If you haven’t heard me say it before, then listen up! These curtains were a GAME CHANGER in our master bedroom!! I revealed Part I of our master bedroom refresh for the New Year, New Room Challenge, and today I’m finally sharing Part II! There is a tiny ounce of me that wishes I wouldn’t have shared anything until the curtains were up – it was THAT much of a transformation, but I was still so excited about where the room had gone.
From that…
to this…
Below, are some pics (pre-curtains) and then the even newer version of the room! And don’t leave before you scroll to the bottom for the entire room’s source list. I’ve detailed absolutely everything I could find for you and if something is no longer available, I even sourced similar pieces. I so love everything that went into this space – some things were old and others were new, like all of the decor items from our brand collaborators – Rugs USA, Minted, Framebridge & Lampsplus.
And now for our our newly refreshed sleeping quarters…
There are hints of pink throughout the room and T is completely on-board with it – yesss! I didn’t even know I liked pink much, but a feminine touch in the bedroom totally works. It’s not overly girly and its not a main space in the home, so I say why not?!!
Here’s a look at the right side of the bed and below, a shot of the left.
Working our way around the room, to the wall on the left side, or I guess it would be considered the right side if you are actually in the bed!
And now for the inspiration that started it all…
It led me to pull the pink, light blue and yellows from the print, but allowed me to use my black, white, gold and gray along with it. Would it really matter if the print didn’t have those neutrals in it anways though? nope. probably not. #blackwhiteandgoldalways
I’m pretty sure that I’ll end up posting about this gallery wall so I can share more details on how it came to be and even how I tinted the top left photo pink.
and it sort of connects the 2 spaces. At first, I was nervous that the wall had too much going on, but then I remembered…I tend to lean more towards the “more is more” decorating philosophy, so I kept it all up there. And I love it.
It quickly became the cutest little nook in the room.
And did I mention the curtains?
oh, I just adore them.
I created a mini gallery wall in the corner here… I guess I could refer to it as a corner gallery wall. I’m not quite sure on the technical terminology, so I’ll go with it – corner gallery, it is!
Which then pretty much brings us back to where we started…with the bed and nightstands.
hoard buy.
And I’ve completely fallen head-over-heels with the new mirror.
It’s definitely oversized and it barely fit, but I decided it was ok to nearly touch the top of the headboard. The variation in the metal is neat, too… it’s almost ombre in its coloring – bronze, then gold and then dark tips.
Did I get it all? Did I miss anything? I’m pretty sure I’ve covered every inch of our new space and photographed it 19 times.
The bedroom is in tip-top shape now and I love that its done. I can’t emphasize enough – if you want to spruce up a space in your home, sure, you can go ahead and take on one of your main living spaces, but you won’t regret the master bedroom. I can almost guarantee you that!!
I know it’s been nearly a month since the New Year, New Room Refresh Challenge, so if you need a “refresher” on my previous posts, have a look below! Then you’ll find the sources just under that!
