The Day is Here

Hey, all! I’m popping in quickly today to let you know that it’s moving week, which is why its been crickets over here since I posted our Summer Home Tour and my recent Thrifted Finds last week. The packers have been here all week and the house is literally being packed up and boxes are being loaded out at this very moment. It’s slowly becoming more and more empty and the move is finally feeling more and more real.

See…
…very real.

I’ll admit I did tear up last night while rocking the littlest before putting him in his crib and then shed a few more while reading to the biggest and then tucking him in. I so clearly remember bringing the boys home from the hospital and the memories of those first few nights and even weeks learning our new normal and their desired bedtime routine came rushing over me. It was the last bedtime in this house. Yes, they will have new rooms and their furniture and belongings, but it just won’t quite be the same. I’ve felt all the feels in this house. The emotional roller coaster of becoming a mom for the first time and the images of bringing the babes home here will forever be ingrained in heart and soul.

We are actually headed to the new house today, so our first night in our new home is tonight. And then the cycle continues….the first of many more firsts to come. Such a crazy thought! Friday our moving trucks will arrive to deliver our things, so we’ll be unpacking this coming weekend and working to get settled in the weeks to come. As for the blog, my plan for a little while is to share the remaining project & styling posts from our current house (or is it already our old house?—Either way it feels strange!) as well as begin to share a few inspiration posts as ideas start brewing for the new spaces! Eeeek!

I’m signing off for the week, but hope to be back up and running sometime next week…as long as we don’t have any snafus getting our cable & internet up and running!
