Sometimes getting dressed for the “in-between seasons” can be tough! And here in the Midwest, that “in-between” time is undoubtedly the month of March! The forecast calls for Sorel boots, while the allll the retailers are shouting Spring from the roof-tops and your mind is somewhere in between! [Although I’m pretty sure mine is always leaning faaaaar away from the reality that is outside!] While out running errands last week, I spotted this cute graphic “be happy” tank top. It just screamed warm weather to me and I decided it was just what my closet was calling for! Since I know it will be weeks [and likely, months] before I can wear a tank, I decided to come up with 5 ways to Wear a Graphic Tank Top this Spring to show you how you can style that *warm weather* tank in your closet right now!

Like as in even if it’s still feeling like Winter where you live! Here in Chicagoland the snow has finally melted and we hit 50 degrees this week, but there were most certainly a couple of mornings where the temperature read 20! Either way, I’ve got a cute new tank that’s only $12.99 and it’s giving me all sorts of Spring vibes!
Graphic tees and tanks are all the rage and ever since I ordered that “OH HEY VACAY” graphic t-shirt you saw in my Spring Break Favorites post, I’ve been coming up with ideas for how to wear it now. In fact, I think it will be part of my Spring Break travel outfit this week. Cute and casual! And that’s what I love most is that you can easily dress a basic graphic tee or tank up or down. Add a layer and it will carry you through multiple seasons, day or night!
Ok, let’s take a look at the five ways to wear a graphic tank top this Spring!
And absolutely all Summer long, too!
5 WAYS TO WEAR A GRAPHIC TANK TOP THIS SPRING
GRAPHIC TANK TOP OUTFIT #1
GRAPHIC TANK | WHITE JEANS | RAW HEM JEAN JACKET | PEARL STUDDED SANDALS | ROUND POM POM STRAW PURSE [similar purse here and here]
This is a classic way to wear a graphic top. Throw on a pair of white jeans and a denim jacket with your favorite sandals and you’re out the door! It’s completely effortless! You’ll look fully put together, with little to no effort. [My kind of look :)]
GRAPHIC TANK TOP OUTFIT #2
GRAPHIC TANK | BLACK & WHITE STRIPED BLOUSE | HIGH WAIST BUSTED KNEE JEANS | STUDDED BLACK MULES [similar mules here and here] | BURNT ORANGE STATEMENT EARRINGS | BLACK ROUND SUNGLASSES | LEOPARD CLUTCH [similar clutch here and here]
This look is a fun way to layer your tank or tee under a blouse. I have this darling striped button down blouse in my regular size small, but if you were going to wear it over another top as seen above, you’ll probably want to size up one. Even if you don’t want to layer anything under it very often, the over-sized look of the size up will still look great! Do a little front-tuck into your jeans and you’re good to go!
The golden yellow color of the tank works almost like a neutral, so I’ve paired it with black and white and also these burnt orange / fiery red earrings for a fun pop of color. They are so super lightweight!
I also love this yellow color paired with green as I did in outfit #3 below with the camo and outfit #5 with the teal bracelets!
And obviously I had to sneak some leopard into these outfits! I just can’t help myself. This outfit is a fun, edgy and slightly different way to wear your graphic tank!
GRAPHIC TANK TOP OUTFIT #3
GRAPHIC TANK | WHITE DISTRESSED JEAN JACKET | CAMO PANTS [similar pants here] | BLACK LACE BRALETTE | WEDGE SNEAKERS | STUDDED SUNGLASSES
Right there next to all the leopard, plenty of camo can be found in my closet, too! I love my $12 camo leggings I shared with you in last month’s Casual Chic Style post, but these camo pants are perfect for Spring weather! They fit like a skinny jean and you can wear them with just about anything! Again, if the weather is still a bit cold where you live, your graphic tank can always be layered under a jacket like this white distressed denim jacket shown above.
Even if it’s already Spring weather, white denim jackets are great for the cooler nights, even in the Summer!
GRAPHIC TANK TOP OUTFIT #4
GRAPHIC TANK | GRAY JEANS | WHITE CROCHET BRALETTE | TORTOISE BAG | OVERSIZED WIRE SUNGLASSES | LEOPARD SANDALS | EMBROIDERED WRAP BRACELET | MIXED METAL BEADED BRACELET | MIXED METAL SPIKE BRACELET
If you don’t have a pair of gray jeans yet, go out and get yourself a pair! I have several including these gray jeans and these are another favorite pair. They can totally act as a staple pair of denim and you can wear them just as you would your blue, black or white jeans. Here I’ve mixed some tortoise and leopard with the gray and yellow for an all-neutral look.
Isn’t that bag so fun?!
Also, if you’ve been looking for a great bralette, I am obsessed with these crochet bralettes from Nordstrom. They have over 1,000 rave reviews and look so cute with your off-the-shoulder tops or ones that have a lower arm opening, like the be happy graphic tank. The bralettes come in a ton of colors and I am planning on adding a few new colors to my collection this Spring. You can still wear your strapless bra under the bralette because there isn’t any support. The upper edge and straps of the bralette look cute peeking out from your tops vs. just skin!
GRAPHIC TANK TOP OUTFIT #5
GRAPHIC TANK | MID-RISE BOYFRIEND SHORTS | COLORFUL FRINGE EARRINGS | TEAL BEADED BRACELET | MINT GREEN BEADED BRACELET | HAT | GOLD WIRE SUNGLASSES | LEOPARD SANDALS [similar sandals here]
Here are those colorful fringe fan earrings I raved about in my Spring Break Favorites post! The colors in them work with so many things! When I bought the be happy tank, I also grabbed these boyfriend shorts and really like them. The length is great [read: when you’re chasing your kids around you don’t have to worry about your buns peeking out when you bend over!!] and the rise is a good medium-to-high. The distressing is minimal but does add a little interest! Grab a sun hat and this look is for sure the one that will take you into the Summer months! I can see throwing this tank and shorts on over my swimsuit at the pool or beach. A totally cute and casual look that is slightly dressed up with statement earrings and sassy leopard sandals.
Oh and this hat is super cute and only $7.99! Perfect pool or beach hat, but can also be worn as part of your warm weather [or almost warm weather] outfit!
Ok, so don’t you feel like this tank really IS giving you Spring vibes?!
Mine is already packed in my suitcase for Arizona! While I’m away, I’m sure I’ll come up with even more than 5 ways to wear a graphic tank top this Spring. 🙂
