It’s the most chaotic time of the year! While all the decorating, shopping, cooking, gifting & hosting is what makes the holidays fun and special, all of these activities can come with their fair share of stress. The hustle and bustle is another way to say chaos and crazy! When you want to spread some cheer this season, why not gift some of your busy bee friends a Holiday Survival Kit and today I’m sharing ideas for what to put in it!
Couldn’t we all use a little help getting through the holidays each year?!
Whether it’s your next door neighbor, your bestie, your child’s teacher or any of your mama friends, a gift basket filled with all of the season’s essentials will help get them through it with a smile!
HOW TO PUT TOGETHER A HOLIDAY SURVIVAL KIT
There are so many ways to create a “kit”. You can use a basket, jar, holiday oven mitt [see how I made a hostess gift using a mitt here] or even just a gift bag! You can gift it at the beginning of the season and here are some ideas for what to put inside…
HOLIDAY SURVIVAL KIT SUPPLIES
WHAT TO FILL:
- basket
- tin
- crate
- jar
- gift bag
- mixing bowl [these are so pretty]
- tray or board [try this one, this one or this one wrapped with cellophane]
HOLIDAY “ESSENTIAL” FILLER ITEMS:
- wine or champagne [mini bottles are cute, but a full-sized one works, too!]
- chocolate
- festive oven mitt
- dish towel
- spatula
- whisk
- coffee
- tea
- candle
- sleep mask
- eye treatment masks
- ribbon or tulle
- tape
- scissors
- tissue paper
- ornaments
- gift tags [you can print a set of these to gift]
- batteries
- stamps
- notecards or greeting cards
- gift cards
The possibilities are endless!
Your survival kit can be big or small, its mainly just the thought that counts! Think of things that will make the recipient happy as well as things that are frequently used during the holidays.
I know that gift wrapping supplies, chocolates, coffee and wine would go to good use over here 😉
