Hey, hey out there! How is it already March and time to share our Spring homes?! These last couple months after the holidays sure seem a little blurry if you ask me, but now here we are! I’m thrilled to be joining Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and 25+ other Bloggers for a full week of Spring Home Tours! The seasons definitely hit different now that we’re in Arizona, so although I’m not really coming out of Winter hibernation, it still felt nice to freshen up a few things around here before it heats up again! Welcome to My Spring Home Tour 2022!
If you’re popping over from Southern Hospitality and you’re new here, then welcome! Let me introduce myself… I’m Rachael, the Content Creator & Lifestyle Blogger, wife, #boymom, interior decorator, accessories stylist & self-appointed “Queen B” behind the Lifestyle site, This is our Bliss.
I am an unapologetically girly girl with 3 sons and thrive on elevating the everyday with my stylish, bold & edgy flare. I love fashion, interiors, travel & sports and enjoy chronicling our everyday adventures to help inspire the modern mom. My husband and 3 boys and I are newcomers to the desert, as we just moved from Chicago to Arizona last July.

SPRING HOME TOUR 2022
Even though its only been a few months since we updated our new Family Room, Kitchen & Dining Room, the house did deserve a little freshening up for Spring!
Come and take a peek at how things are looking around here lately… It’s our first Spring in the new house!
SPRING HOME TOUR: THE DINING ROOM
We just completed this Dining Room project at the start of 2022 – the first one of the year! Since everything is already fresh & new in here, I only swapped out the centerpiece for a lighter-colored pot [I can’t believe the price for the quality on this one!] and then gathered some dinnerware in preparation for any Spring gatherings.
I can’t get over how gorgeous the baby’s breath looks in here. It’s such an inexpensive vase filler and I love how it gives off such a light and airy vibe.
I placed another white vase with some fresh clippings from the backyard next to it to add a little greenery to the table. I rounded up a ton of white vases in this post if you’re looking to lighten things up for Spring.
Linen napkins, simple white dinner plates & an assortment of black & gold flatware make up the rest of the scene here. I’m still in awe of the table my dad and I refinished and just couldn’t bring myself to set a full tablescape and cover up all of the beautiful wood!!
I know I still owe you a post on our table process 😉
The buffet is stocked with wine glasses & a couple bottles for when we entertain. It is almost Rosé season, am I right?!
The buffet is working out well in here so far. There’s just enough surface area for drinks & décor. For larger gatherings, I’d clear the top and we could place serving bowls of food and carafes of water.

SPRING HOME TOUR: THE GUESTROOM
Not only do I want our Guestroom freshened up for our friends & family, but I, too benefit from a little zhushing since the Guestroom also serves as my office.
I shared our Guestroom progress on the blog last Fall and truthfully, the only thing I did in here recently was add some fresh lilies, a tray on the nightstand and a couple books on the bottom nightstand shelf.
The pillows feel fresh and Spring-y to me [especially the blush tones in the HomeGoods pillow!] Plus, I’ve loved the animal print shams for so long, I can’t bring myself to get rid of them.
The quilt at the bottom of the bed is also a HomeGoods find, but this one is very similar and comes in 10 colors. So pretty!
Did I ever mention this is the view from the Guestroom window?
SPRING HOME TOUR: THE FAMILY ROOM
I always make easy swaps around the house when it comes time to Spring-ify the house. Light colored pots, vases, throws & pillows brighten things up and fresh flowers are an absolutely staple.
Especially with dark built-ins, I like to add in plenty of white, woven & gold touches for warmth and contrast.
Normally I fill the house with tulips this time of year, but there weren’t any to be found here yet. I’m not sure if its an Arizona issue or a supply issue. The lilies and baby’s breath fuel my Spring fever plenty though.
What do you think?!
SPRING HOME TOUR: THE BACKYARD
And last but not least, I’ve got a few peeks at the backyard. I have to admit, we’ve got plenty more work to do out here before it’s fully Spring-ready, but I thought it deserved a place in the Home Tour since I know we’ll be out here swimming in no time!
I’ve got my pool boy assisting me for now 😉
Our pool isn’t heated, but our temps are climbing higher and higher towards 90 degrees so once we have several back-to-back days with a bit higher overnight temps, we’ll be back in our happy place.
This pool literally saved us those first few months after moving in. Summer temperatures can easily clip past 115 degrees so if you’re outside, there’s no doubt you’re in the water!
We picked up these lounge chairs at Costco over the Winter and I found the small table at HomeGoods. I actually ordered these striped lumbars for the chairs, but they didn’t arrive in time to photograph, so I grabbed the pillows from our bed so you get the idea 😉
I also bought these pillows for the covered patio furniture to give the big striped ones a break.
I’ll be sure to share once everything arrives. I’ll be wiping down furniture and spraying off the patio in the meantime. It’s so incredibly dusty down here so a little pre-season prep work is in order. Although we did use our outdoor spaces quite a bit over the Winter — especially our outdoor fireplace!
I hope to have the patio ready to share in the next couple weeks, but we still need furniture for the fireplace, so that area might be on hold until Fall. Plus, there’s very little chance we’ll be sitting around a fire this Summer. Its still almost 100 degrees at 9 pm!!
Thank you so much for stopping by our home today. I hope you’ll be back again soon! Be sure to check out all of the lovely tours taking place today. You can head to the start of Thursday’s lineup and take a peek at CitrineLiving‘s stunning home!
