Hey there and welcome to week 2 of the One Room Challenge! My vision is taking shape and I am so excited to share the direction we’re headed for our Main Floor Powder Room in today’s post. Come check out the “Drama Queen” Powder Room Mood Board.
I’ve always wanted to go bold and dramatic with the walls & ceilings in a room, so here is my chance to do both. I was madly in love with our black interior doors in our last house and I’ve been itching to have black walls somewhere, especially after our kitchen island and family room built-ins were done last Fall.

When I first stumbled upon that wallpaper, I knew it would be the perfect dramatic, yet feminine feature I was looking for.
From there, the name “Drama Queen” just fit!
After all, I live in a house with 4 boys. I deserve to sneak something pink and girly somewhere in this house 😉
DRAMA = dark, bold QUEEN = feminine, edgy, chic
I’m planning to go glam and chic with the hardware and fixtures to really pop against the dark walls. Then I plan to use up a ton of old thrifted frames and insert some funky art pieces to create a statement gallery wall on one side.
I can’t wait to get going in here. I’m really itching to see it come alive.
