A RELAXED TRAVEL OUTFIT IDEA
wide leg pants [similar here & here] // tank // denim jacket // sneakers [similar GG’s] // sunglasses // hat // straw purse // suitcase
Let’s break this easy travel look down so you can easily pull it together yourself.
TRAVEL OUTFIT // WIDE LEG ATHLEISURE PANTS
Sometimes you just want to wear loose, wide-leg pants. I tend to reach for joggers or leggings when traveling, but a wide-leg lounge pant really is SO comfortable! Mine are an old ribbed pair from Abercrombie, but this pair is supposed to be life-changing and I sourced this similar option and this under $35 option, too.
TRAVEL OUTFIT // EASY TANK FOR LAYERING
Grab any gray tank [I also love this white and black one] and wear it again with jean shorts or white denim on your trip. I love having a sleeveless top on with a jacket or sweater when traveling to warmer destinations. Then you can remove the top layer and be perfectly dressed up top for the hot day ahead!
TRAVEL OUTFIT // DENIM JACKET
It’s best to wear your bulkier clothing item on the plane versus packing it in your suitcase. Jean jackets are not exactly the comfiest outer layer to wear [a cozy cardigan is usually my first choice] but I usually want one with me on my trip, so it does make sense to wear it while traveling!
I’ve had this raw hem BlankNYC one for years so it’s worn in and super soft. This BLANKNYC one is a bit more cropped but its on sale for 50% off here.
This light distressed denim jacket is another good one! Under $35 and I’ve had it for several years.
TRAVEL OUTFIT // SNEAKERS & A SUN HAT
Like I said before, wear your bulkiest items so they don’t take up space and weight in your suitcase. I tend to always travel in sneakers. I find it more comfortable walking around in the airport in them vs. a sandal or flip flop.
As for sun hats, there are ways to pack them safely, but wearing it or attaching your hat to your bag [with this magnetic clip – want!] is a sure bet your hat will arrive undamaged and ready to be worn to the beach or pool.
TRAVEL OUTFIT // BELT BAG + STRAW BAG + SUITCASE
My belt bag has been a wardrobe staple for a couple of years now. It’s so nice to be hands-free and not worry about a purse falling off your shoulder when traveling. If traveling to a warm destination, my beach bag or straw tote is my carry-on.
Here are some similar silver hardside luggage options if you’re in the market:
