I decided one of the easiest, hassle-free ways to serve breakfast is by putting together a large grazing board with a wide variety of simple items. When you’re hosting during the holidays, putting together a big breakfast board is the easiest way to get food on the table. You don’t have to worry about what time your guests wake up or if they’ll have enough time to eat before catching a flight!
Just put this board out and let them help themselves! Its like a hotel continental breakfast but from the convenience of your kitchen!
A “Help Yourself” Holiday Breakfast Board
I first shared this board on IG & FB when House of Hyacinth gifted me this gorgeous 26″ round serving board from the Reluctant Entertainer Collection! Everyone wanted to know what was on the board, so I’ll share what I used below, but you can use anything you and your guests love!
ITEMS USED ON THE HOLIDAY BREAKFAST BOARD
mini bagels with a small bowl of cream cheese
small bowl of vanilla yogurt
small bowl of granola
powdered sugar donut holes
cinnamon sugar mini donuts
mini blueberry muffins
cherry almond danish bites
tater tots
mini egg bites
pancake & sausage sticks w/ a small bowl of syrup to dip
cranberries, rosemary for garnish + a few mini Christmas trees to make the board extra festive for the holidays
HOW TO MAKE A “HELP YOURSELF” HOLIDAY BREAKFAST BOARD
ONE // First grab a board or platter and place any small bowls you want to fill around the board.
TWO // Add items to the bowls and then start making small mounds of each item throughout the board.
THREE // Fill in any open space with more breakfast items and then sprinkle your cranberry garnish on top of various piles.
FOUR // Stick a few Rosemary sprigs on the edges working your way around the board.
FIVE // Add a few mini trees for an extra festive touch!
SIX // Let your guests help themselves to their breakfast whenever they are ready to eat! They can graze all morning or grab and go if they are headed out!
Everything was store bought but you could obviously add any homemade items to board if you wish.
Just set out small plates and napkins and your guests have access to the perfect “help yourself” breakfast board. It’s a set it and forget situation with no fuss and no stress for the hosts!
