GIRLS’ GETAWAY STAYCATION // CANOPY HILTON SCOTTSDALE OLD TOWN HOTEL
From the moment I stepped into this elevated, boutique hotel, I knew I was in for a unique and memorable hotel experience. Located right in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, this property blends upscale design with a laid-back Southwest vibe. Totally ideal for our Girls’ Getaway staycation!
We made sure we got the ultimate experience with the Escape Together package, which includes 2 welcome drinks and $100 daily credit per room booked.
The welcome drinks came in the form of tickets received at check-in and could be used, along with the daily credit, at the onsite restaurant, Cobre Kitchen + Cocktails or Outrider Rooftop Lounge. The package also includes late checkout, requires a 2-night minimum stay, and is valid until 12/31/2025.

CHECK-IN & FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Upon entering the double doors, I immediately thought, Wow, this lobby is stunning! It is bright, airy, and thoughtfully designed with desert-inspired decor, local artwork, and natural wood accents that give the space a warm, welcoming energy.
Every detail on every surface was carefully curated.
I especially loved the light fixtures!
The check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They offered great local recommendations and even gave a quick rundown of hotel amenities.
In order to take advantage of a highly anticipated pool day with drinks & lunch from the rooftop bar, we requested early check-in. They offered to hold our luggage while we waited poolside for our rooms to be ready. Win, win!
ROOM:
We stayed in a double Queen Room with a view of Camelback, and it exceeded our expectations.
The space was modern and clean with warm wood tones and floor-to-ceiling windows that brought in plenty of natural light. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with high-quality linens and pillows. I loved the touches that added a local feel with wood features and eclectic, curated art.
The bathroom was spacious and spa-like, featuring a glass walk-in shower, great lighting, and plush towels. Other thoughtful amenities included a Nespresso machine, a mini-fridge, and ample charging ports, which made it feel like a home-away-from-home.
DINING & ROOFTOP BAR:
Our first meal was poolside where we indulged in an order of chicken nachos accompanied by Frose & Spicy Prickly Pear Margaritas from Outrider, the rooftop bar & restaurant. The perfect start to our girls’ weekend!
Here’s a look at Outrider in the morning before the hustle & bustle of hotel guests took over!
For dinner, we got a table at the onsite restaurant, Cobre Kitchen + Cocktails, which was such a treat. They offered a solid menu of locally inspired dishes with fresh ingredients and I have to admit, the menu items we ordered completely blew my mind. Every single thing was fantastic.
We shared the Elote Kernels, Truffle Salted Fingerling Potatoes, Lemon Garlic Broccolini, Chipotle Chicken Flatbread, Grilled Mahi Tacos, and the Roasted Chimayo Chicken.
Not only was the food divine, but the décor created a cozy, warm ambiance, and the fabulous live music on Friday night was icing on the cake.
And the espresso martinis were the cherries on top!
In the morning, we enjoyed coffee in the room while we lounged and chatted, then headed down to Cobre for our 2nd cup!
After that, we decided to order carryout breakfast from Cobre [the breakfast burrito and egg sandwich were incredible!] so we could sit by the pool to take in the panoramic views of Scottsdale and Camelback Mountain again.
The view was gorgeous, morning, noon, and night. But I especially loved it at sunset, where we had happy hour.
Outrider is a fantastic spot to unwind with a craft cocktail or glass of wine. The vibe was relaxed, but upbeat and stylish. It would be a great spot for a date night or a casual meet-up.
AMENITIES & EXTRAS:
The hotel offers complimentary bikes, which is a great way to explore Old Town’s shops, galleries, and restaurants. The fitness center was modern and well-equipped with Peloton bikes, free weights, and resistance machines.
I also loved that they had cozy furniture & seating options, not only in the lobby, at the pool and the rooftop bar & restaurant, but out front as well. We sipped our coffee while taking in the sights and sounds of Old Town first thing in the morning.
The lounge chairs at the pool were extremely comfortable and a nice large size. The pool also offered many umbrellas for shade and several cabana options available as well. The pool was the place to be each day, so get your chairs early!
LOCATION:
Canopy’s location really can’t be beat. Everything in Old Town is walkable from the hotel – boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, the waterfront, and even the historic district. It’s also just a quick ride to hiking trails, golf courses, and Spring Training stadiums.
FINAL THOUGHTS ON CANOPY HILTON SCOTTSDALE OLD TOWN HOTEL:
Canopy Scottsdale blends the perfect mix of comfort, style, and local flavor. Whether you’re in town for a relaxing weekend, a work trip, a base to explore the beauty of Arizona or just a few moms looking for a quick & close staycation, this elevated, boutique hotel has you covered.
I highly recommend checking this place out when planning your next visit to Scottsdale!
The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, the service & the prime location were all top-notch. We had the absolute BEST weekend!
