The Tastiest Summertime Beer-Ritas

Warm weather calls for a cold beverage and since my love for margaritas runs deep, I like to switch it up every so often to keep things interesting! Our go-to marg is absolutely this Skinny Spicy Margarita recipe, but in the warmer months [and when I’m craving more sweetness!] I love a frozen margarita! Today, I’m sharing The Tastiest Summertime Beer-Ritas!

THE TASTIEST SUMMERTIME BEER-RITAS

Yes, surprisingly there’s beer inside! I mean, while you’re at it, why not add a cold one?

The beer actually helps cut down the tart and tang a little bit, but doesn’t take away any sweetness!

It’s still perfectly thick, sweet and refreshingly lime-y! We always make these Beer-Ritas to drink poolside at my aunt’s house in Arizona and every time I have one here at home, it takes me straight to vacay-mode.

We could all use one of those right about now, right?!

INGREDIENTS FOR SUMMERTIME BEER-RITAS

• 1 can frozen limeade
• 12 oz. beer of choice [I use Corona Light or Corona Premium]
• Tequila of choice [I use Silver Tequila]
• water
• limes
• sea salt [I like Pink Himalayan Sea Salt]
• large pitcher

DIRECTIONS FOR SUMMERTIME BEER-RITAS

1 || Add can of frozen limeade to the pitcher. I don’t thaw it first. I just open and dump it in!

2 || Take the empty limeade container and fill with tequila.

3 || Then fill it with cold water. I usually add 1.5 empty limeade containers with water to thin it down a bit.

4 || Next, add 1-2 bottles or cans of beer depending on the size of your pitcher. 

5 || Finally, stir it with a spoon or spatula and serve in salted rim cocktail glasses & a wedge or slice of lime!

[This recipe makes about 4-6 servings depending on size and if you add ice or not.]

These Beer-Ritas are so delicious, but you have to drink them quickly if you want the full slushy effect. Another option would be to add a handful of cubes and pour it in the blender.

Otherwise, you can always drop a few cubes in your glass to keep it cold longer. And if you really feel like going all in, you can add a splash of Grand Marnier to the top.

YUM!

You simply can’t go wrong with these Summertime Beer-Ritas! It truly the tastiest cocktail – especially on a hot Summer day! 

And if you want a light & fresh version, then these Simple Skinny Spicy Margaritas are a must-try! And if you don’t want the heat, then just omit the jalapeno & seasoning.
