Hello, friends! I don’t know about you, but I’m shouting Fri-YAY from the rooftops today! Anyone else?! With the Halloween weekend upon us, I feel like it’s been a busy week. The days are getting shorter, darker and colder so I’ve been scrounging for more time and energy each day to get all the things done! Costumes are ready to roll and the pumpkins are carved so I guess we’re in pretty good shape 😉 Today, I’m back with The Friday Five, so come on in and let’s chat!

I’ve got a busy day ahead of me preparing for our Friday Night of Fun. The boys have virtual Halloween parties until 3 pm, then we’re baking Pumpkin Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies [from my Trader Joe’s Fall Haul], Chili for dinner and then Hocus Pocus & popcorn in Halloween jammies!
I think I’m more excited for our Friday night plans than they are! That’s the beauty of parenthood – you make the agenda and fill it with things that you love, too! ha!
Now on to this week’s The Friday Five…
THE FRIDAY FIVE
ONE // HANDS DOWN FAVORITE JOGGERS
I can’t believe I hadn’t shared these joggers with you yet! My apologies! They were a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchase and somehow got lost in the shuffle over here after they arrived. But now that I’ve been wearing them for a little while now, I’m honestly so in LOVE.
joggers // $10 striped knit tee [xs]
The joggers are a stretchy knit material with a slim profile, meaning not too baggy or slouchy. I love the fit, feel and look of them! Drawstring waist, pockets and they run true to size. I’m in my normal size small in these. If you are looking for a comfy pair of joggers for around the house or out and about, these will NOT disappoint!
It’s no wonder they’re called “Live in Jogger” pants!
TWO // BOGO 50% OFF SWEATER SALE
Have you shopped the Target BOGO 50% sweater and cardigan sale yet? I shared an entire post this week dedicated to Sweater Weather with more than 50 sweaters I’m loving right now. More than 20 of them are Target finds!
The sale ends tomorrow so be sure to snag a couple if you see any you love. Their original price points are already incredible, so with the sale, you might be able to grab 2 sweaters for under $30-40 total!
See the Sweater Weather post here and the Target Try-on Haul Part 1 and Part 2 here!
THREE // PUMPKIN CARVING PALOOZA
We just got our pumpkins carved last night, but I guess better late than never! We cleared the kitchen table off and laid down garbage bags, then let the boys design their jack-o-lanterns. After their faces were ready, Ted and I cleaned out the insides and then he did the carving.
It’s funny how the kids start out all in and then before you know it, it’s just Mom and Dad left standing at the table!!
We’ll put them out on the porch tonight with our flameless LED candles so they can show off their masterpieces!
FOUR // HEALTHY KIDS HALLOWEEN CHARCUTERIE BOARD
Ok, this cute snack board stopped me in my Pinterest scroll. And it’s no surprise because The Fashionable Hostess is FABULOUS! Her ideas are creative and beautifully executed. Amanda is truly the queen of entertaining and she’s absolutely darling. I had a chance to meet her at the Better Homes & Gardens Stylemaker Event and she is just as lovely in person!
So much inspiration in every single one of her posts 😉
I might try to make something similar for the boys this weekend!
FIVE // ENTRYWAY REFRESH
A game of dominos took place in our entryway this month, but I’m SO pleased with how the space came together! After we replaced our entryway rug, I decided to give it a quick and cozy Fall Refresh. One that we can enjoy all November long and take us into the Holiday season.
See how I pulled it all together on a budget and in just a few minutes in the How to Create a Cozy Entryway in 5 Simple Steps!
And that’s it for today! What are your Friday night plans? Are the kids trick-or-treating in your neighborhood?!
Our village posted Halloween hours as 2-6 pm tomorrow night and we planned a small parade in our subdivision taking place beforehand, so we have a busy weekend ahead of us. And it all starts tonight with our cookies, chili and Hocus Pocus!
Have a wonderful weekend!! I hope to see you back here soon.
