We are on the brink of Spring here in Arizona. That time just before it starts to realllly warm up. I’m soaking up these 75-degree days right now and anxiously awaiting the start of our pool season! Before we start spending our time outside, I’ve decluttered the house and added a few [like very few] Spring touches and am sharing them today with you in My Simply Spring Home Tour 2023.
I’m thrilled to be joining Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and 25+ other Bloggers for a full week of Spring Home Tours!
If you’re popping over from It All Started With Paint and you’re new here, then welcome! Let me introduce myself… I’m Rachael, the Content Creator & Lifestyle Blogger, wife, #boymom, interior decorator, accessories stylist & self-appointed “Queen B” behind the Lifestyle site, This is our Bliss.

SIMPLY SPRING HOME TOUR 2023
We’ve been working our way around the house putting our personal touch on things since we moved in July 2021. Our Staircase, Primary Bedroom, and Powder Room were the most recent spaces to get refreshed.
It seems like the last several years, after the holidays, all I crave is simplicity. So a few vases of fresh flowers here and there and that’s pretty much the extent of my Spring decorating!
Come and take a peek at how things are looking around here lately.
SPRING HOME TOUR: PRIMARY BEDROOM
After transforming our bedroom into a moody retreat, I decided I’d soften it up a bit in here for Spring. I actually just realized we have a lilac tree in our backyard, so after clipping a few stems to put in the guestroom for our company last weekend, I did the same for our room.
rug // nightstand // lavender pillows // gray euro shams // comforter // lamps // wallpaper // curtains // art // coffee table book
Just a small vase with 3 flowers on the nightstand and Spring is instantly here!
I then remembered I had a pair of these lavender pillows in the storage closet, so I added them to the bed.
I’ve had such a tranquil, neutral color palette in here the last few months, I thought a pop of pastel would be really pretty against the dark wall and pillows.
I always say this, but that’s the nice part about a neutral color scheme…anything goes! Literally, any color can be added to spruce up the space seasonally.
Now I personally wouldn’t sprinkle purple all over the house, but I can absolutely get behind this subtle addition in the bedroom.
SPRING HOME TOUR: THE KITCHEN
Again, I wasn’t going for full-on Spring explosion, so a small vase [actually an acrylic cup] with a few neutral clippings, a candle and a dish of matches on this black serving board sitting on the kitchen island is as Spring-y as it’s going to get in here.
black board // long match sticks // ribbed glass [similar]
*Pro tip: use a stemless wine glass or pretty cocktail glass as a vase. You typically have multiple, so you can make several mini arrangements and place them next to each other. Or even put them on different shelves on your bookcase to achieve a cohesive look.
After a recent cupboard and drawer clean-out and a potential pending pantry overhaul, I just didn’t want much sitting out.
Admittedly, I’m usually a more is more kinda girl, but less is definitely more for me right now.
Maybe with 3 boys in multiple sports and all of the gear, equipment, uniforms and water bottles everywhere, when its time to decorate, I don’t want to add more stuff to our spaces! It’s full enough with the kids’ belongings as it is!
I leave these 3 wooden boards [one, two, three] leaning behind the stove year-round. I love the warmth it brings in. It’s a nice contrast in front of the black [painted] backsplash.
SPRING HOME TOUR: FAMILY ROOM
Hot pink really brightens things up in here for the season! But somehow the pink and whites feel cozy too, am I right?!
A yummy Spring-scented candle fills the room and provides the perfect vibe to curl up with a book. My Spring Break reading list is loooong, so hoping to squeeze in as much me time this month while I can!
And although it has *zero* Spring decor, I’ll leave you with a couple shots of our Stairwell from its recent Spruce up in January.
I love walking by and looking up at that light. Especially at nighttime.
You can see the full Stairwell Reveal here!
That’s it for today! Be sure to stop by County Road 407 next and continue on with the rest of the lovely Spring Home Tours from the entire week! If you don’t already have Spring fever, I can almost guarantee you will after today!
