There’s nothing better than a few days away with my mom and sister — especially when wine country is the backdrop. From vineyard views to downtown strolls and delicious dinners, our girls’ getaway to Napa and Sonoma was the perfect mix of relaxation, laughter, and unforgettable moments. I’ll be sharing our full itinerary in a separate post, but for now, here is What I Packed & Wore in Napa for our Mother + Daughter Girls’ Getaway!

If you’ve been here for a while, then you know this post is long overdue! We took this trip back in April for a belated 40th birthday celebration. I spent my birthday weekend in February in Nashville with friends, so my mom and sister wanted to whisk me away this Spring to do some more toasting to the occasion!
The weekend that worked best for all of us landed on my mom’s actual birthday, so we had the best time celebrating together!!
What I Packed & Wore in Napa // Mother + Daughter Girls’ Getaway
When it came to packing, I focused on outfits that were equal parts stylish and practical. Think breezy layers, neutral tones, comfy sandals, and a few elevated pieces to take me from casual wine tastings to evening dinners. Whether you’re headed to Napa with girlfriends or planning a trip with family, here’s exactly what I wore — broken down by activity — to keep things chic and simple the whole way through.
Travel Day & Downtown Napa
For the flight and our first afternoon exploring downtown Napa, I wanted something comfy but polished.
I went with high-waisted jeans, a lightweight tank, and a striped button-down for layering. Add a crossbody bag, white sneakers, and oversized sunglasses — easy and put together for strolling shops and grabbing our first glass of wine.
And then on to our first glass of rose…
We stopped into Wine Girl and I picked up my Ambassador merch!
On our Napa day, I decided to wear ivory wide-leg denim and a striped knit tube top that worked perfectly with block heel sandals [my go-to heels when traveling because they’re so comfortable& they go with EVERYTHING!] and a denim blazer for cooler tasting rooms. I also brought a woven tote to hold essentials like lip balm, a portable charger, and room for wine purchases!
SIPPING THROUGH SONOMA OUTFIT // EASY, BREEZY JUMPSUIT & A HAT
Our 2nd full day was spent in Sonoma, so I went for a breezy jumpsuit and a different pair of block heels. I threw on a neutral felt hat to finish the look. Think casual chic, perfect for wine garden hangouts, patio sipping, and stunning Sonoma views.
Evenings in wine country are pure magic. I wore comfortable heels, a long-sleeve satin shirt dress [but its actually a romper!], which was nice to have my arms covered when it got chilly, and always with a glass of red in hand.
wearing a size small in this dress, but I recommend sizing up for length & bust.
