Hey there, everyone! I don’t know about you, but it seems like Fall is coming in HOT already! I’m not sure if it’s because as a blogger, we try to be a couple steps ahead and are already planning Fall and holiday content or if it’s because of all the cardigans and booties that have been showing up on my front porch from my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases!! Either way, Fall is coming soon so in order to linger in the moment of Summer a little while longer, I thought I would put together a Summer 2018 Home Tour Recap post for you all in case you missed anything that I shared this Summer season.

Since we were expecting our 3rd baby in June [read our Welcome to the World post here], I knew I didn’t want to over-commit myself for Summer projects and I also didn’t think I would do a whole lot of Summer sprucing, especially after finishing our little one’s Nursery in May for the Spring One Room Challenge. But when all was said and done, we did end up with a few spaces around here with a fresh new look.
SUMMER HOME TOUR 2018 – THE MASTER BEDROOM
It started back in May when I added some bright, punchy colors and updates to our Master Bedroom. It’s amazing what a couple of new art prints and a few tweaks to the nightstand styling can do to a bedroom space!
It also didn’t hurt that I added these gorgeous green malachite pillows to our room last year. They’ve truly worked with each and every season so far.
The color is a bold green and it looks so pretty paired with shades of pink, yellows and blues and of course all the black, white and gold I have in here year-round.
SUMMER HOME TOUR 2018 – THE FAMILY ROOM
The next little nook to receive some Summer zhushing was the Family Room mantel. I loved the bright greens in the bedroom and knew that I could work the color into the family room especially by bringing in fresh greens from the yard.
I decided to go with a blue / green color scheme in here for the Summer and have loved the combo so far.
SUMMER HOME TOUR 2018 – THE DINING ROOM
No tropical beach vacation planned this summer? No problem! I brought the island vibe to our dining room with lots of palm leaves, pineapples and a splash of leopard print.
The table was decked with all things fresh and tropical including my DIY Pineapple Ice Mold Wine Chiller and some Summer salsa with Fresh pineapple, too!
I kept the color palette primarily green and yellow, with a bit of brass sprinkled throughout.
The Bar Cart even got a quick Summer update!
I gathered our white wines, bottled sparkling lemonade, glassware and some fresh flowers and it was ready for simple Summer entertaining!
For more Summer entertaining tips, you can head over to the Ice Mold Wine Chiller tutorial that I put together as part of a Summer Progressive Dinner Party series with a group of blogger girlfriends. There is still plenty of Summer left to show off your hostess skills! We shared so many tips and tricks to help make your Summer Soirees go off without a single hitch!
And now, back to my beginning statement that Fall is right around the corner! I’m planning my Fall posts for you guys to go live sometime in August and September, but in the meantime I’ll be squeezing in as many baby snuggles as I possibly can. Annnnd continuing to order allllll the Fall sweaters and booties so I’m fully prepared for the upcoming weather ha!! In all seriousness, if you haven’t had a chance to check out the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yet [see my Nordstrom Sale picks here], then run, don’t walk on over and start compiling your new Fall wardrobe at some awesome prices. And free shipping is always a no-brainer! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opened up to the public today and like in the Early Access Event, items are going QUICK! Bye-bye Summer, hello, Fall…at least that’s what my closet keeps telling me 🙂
Happy weekend, friends!
