If there’s one thing I’ve learned after visiting Maui several times, it’s this: you want pieces that feel easy, but elevated. This trip was extra special as we celebrated my grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary, so I wanted outfits that felt effortless for beach days and pool time, but still polished enough for dinners, photos, and celebrating such a big milestone. Here is What I Wore in Maui: Effortless Beach Vacation Outfits (From Pool Days to Sunset Dinners).
We were just in Maui last year, so you can see everything I packed and wore in Maui in this post here. And for all vacation style, click here and to view my full Fashion Gallery, then be sure to head here!

This year, I leaned into lightweight fabrics, neutral textures, and a few statement pieces that could go from day to night without a full outfit change! A couple of statement dresses since we were there celebrating my grandparents and had a special sunset dinner planned for them!

Think: raffia accessories, flowy pants, chic one-pieces, and those “throw it on and feel put together” outfits.
Here’s everything I wore in Maui and how I styled each look 👇

Easy Travel + Day One Look
My go-to travel uniform for warm destinations is always something soft, breathable, and polished enough to go straight to lunch.

What I wore:
- White tank
- fun tropical graphic sweater
- Lightweight flowy “vacation jeans”
- crochet bucket hat
- sneakers
Why I love it:
This outfit is the definition of effortless but pulled together. The jeans are lightweight and forgiving (hello, elastic waistband for travel days), and the textures elevate it beyond basic!
Coffee Runs + Casual Mornings

You know those slow Maui mornings with coffee on the balcony? This was that outfit.
What I wore:
- “Coffee Beach Repeat” sweater [can even throw your suit on underneath]
- Flowy neutral pants
- Straw hat + gold accessories
- Simple flip flops
Styling tip:
Lean into cozy-but-cute for mornings—something you can wear for coffee, breakfast, and a quick walk without changing.
BREAKFAST TO POOL TO LUNCH LOOK

What I wore:
- White scalloped tank – size small
- Lightweight striped wide-leg pants – size small
- Raffia tote + crochet bucket hat – under $10
- Neutral slides + oversized sunnies
Why I love it:
These striped linen pants have got to be my favorite purchase for vacation so far this year. They are fully lined, with pockets, and the perfect wide-leg and length! Wear them to the beach, the pool and everywhere in between!
EASY DINNER LOOK [WHEN YOU DON’T WANT TO WEAR A DRESS]
This was my “feel cute but still comfortable” outfit for walking around before dinner and then maybe grabbing a drink after! Perfect look with flats for daytime too!

What I wore:
- Cropped neutral tank – size small
- Printed wide-leg pants (my statement piece!) – size small
- Woven clutch + gold jewelry
- Block heels
Why it works:
When your top is simple, you can go bold with the pants. It instantly looks styled without trying too hard.
Anniversary Dinner Dress
One of my favorite looks from the trip—this one just felt like Maui.

What I wore:
- Floral maxi dress with neck scarf detail (lightweight + flowy) – mine was from my nuuly box [try it here!], but linked the look for less here!
- Gold statement earrings
- Neutral heels + woven clutch
Pro tip:
Pack at least one “moment dress.” Something that moves, photographs beautifully, and works for a nicer dinner or sunset cocktails.

Chic Poolside / Resort Look

A good one-piece is a non-negotiable for me on beach trips.
What I wore:
- Black one-shoulder swimsuit with gold belt detail
- Straw hat + sunnies
- Slide sandals + beach tote

Why I love it:
It doubles as an outfit. Add a wrap or linen pants and you’re ready for lunch!
Beach Day Look
Simple, functional, but still styled.

What I wore:
- Neutral one-piece
- Lightweight sarong
- woven hat + sunglasses
- Minimal jewelry
Beach packing tip:
Stick to a color palette (I did neutrals + warm tones) so everything mixes and matches.
Casual Daytime Outfit

This was one of my easiest throw-on-and-go looks!
What I wore:
- Graphic tee (Coconut Grove vibes 🌴) – size XS
- Denim cutoffs [my favorite pair!] – size 27
- Raffia tote + double buckle sandals
- Gold hoops
Why it works:
A graphic tee instantly makes it feel styled—even with denim shorts.
Statement Night Look

You always need one bold moment—and this blue dress was it.
What I wore:
- Blue fringe wrap dress
- Heeled sandals
- Structured mini bag
- Gold jewelry

Styling note:
When the dress is the statement, keep everything else simple and neutral.
ATHLEISURE STYLE FOR A COFFEE WALK

GET THE FULL OUTFIT DETAILS HERE
sometimes you just need that cute outfit that’s still casual and athletic! You’re able to go for a walk, grab coffee and explore in it and maybe even a light workout!
what I wore:
- athletic dress with built-in shorts
- sneakers
- sunglasses
what love about this dress is it has the built-in short, but an open back so you can use the bathroom without having to take off the dress down to your ankles! It also has removable pads – I don’t even need to wear a bra with it.
Wearing size small!
Maui style is all about looking effortless but intentional.
Nothing too structured, nothing too fussy—just pieces that move with you and feel good in the heat.
Having been to Maui several times, I’ve really learned what works (and what just takes up space in your suitcase), and this lineup was one of my favorite combinations yet!
And getting to wear these pieces while celebrating my grandparents’ 50th anniversary made it all even more special.
