I’ve officially entered my marching band mom era, and one thing nobody tells you is that you need a uniform too — just a different kind than the one your kid is wearing. After a few Friday nights in the bleachers, I’ve rounded up my go-to Band Mom Basics — comfortable, easy to move in, and always repping the school colors – green, black and gold!

These style pieces work for sports mom life, too. I’m just looking at it from a different lens this season since I now get to watch my favorite electric guitarist take the field at halftime during Friday Night Lights!

White Tee & Black Flare Leggings

A simple white tee and black flare leggings are the base of nearly every game day fit — comfortable, easy to move in, and a blank canvas for whatever colors or accessories I want to add on top.

For a slightly more polished off-duty look, this black sleeveless zip top jumpsuit feels put together without sacrificing comfort — perfect for hours on metal bleachers!

I know they are going to get a ton of mileage since green is one of our elementary, junior high and high school colors! I did the men’s 6.5/women’s 7.5.

For a night I want a little more edge, these silver snake-print sneakers dress up an otherwise simple outfit.
