“If you don’t plan your outfit around a country concert, did you even go?”
When I found out I was going to see Lainey Wilson live, I knew this wasn’t just a concert—it was an outfit moment waiting to happen. Country concerts have this perfect mix of easygoing fun and just the right excuse to add a little flair, and I wanted my look to reflect that. Here’s What I Wore to the Lainey Wilson Concert and how I pulled together a look that felt concert-ready without overthinking it.

There’s just something about a country concert that makes getting dressed feel extra fun. Especially when you have a chance to go with your girls!

When I headed out to see Lainey Wilson live last week at the PHX Center in downtown Phoenix, I knew I wanted an outfit that felt a little Western, a little glam, and 100% me. Between the music, the atmosphere, and Lainey’s iconic bell-bottoms, the night called for a look that was stylish yet practical for dancing and singing along.
She was incredible! Such a great performer, full of energy and her humble heart was so apparent!

I pulled together an outfit that felt like me—stylish but not fussy, comfortable enough for a night of singing at the top of my lungs, and still a little bit country chic. Here’s the breakdown:
The Graphic Tee
I started with a classic concert go-to: a graphic tee. This “Lainey Wilson” tee was a Target find this spring and its currently sold out, but this one and this one are fun Lainey Wilson t-shirt options.
There’s something about a perfectly broken-in tee that gives off that effortless, cool-girl vibe. Plus, it balanced out the more feminine pieces I paired it with. I tied it up with a rubber band in the back and tucked it under for a fitted look.
I did a medium in my tee and cuffed the sleeves. I like to size up one especially if I’m going to tie it back!
The Crochet Skirt
To dress things up a bit, I reached for a crochet skirt. I found this one on sale, and it has subtle, clear sequins sewn into the cream crochet / lace-like material. I loved the contrast of the soft, boho texture with the edginess of the tee—it kept the look playful while still feeling put-together.
I did a size 6 and would say it runs slightly generous so you could size down if in between, but I didn’t want it any shorter so I went with a 6.

The Boots
No country concert outfit is complete without boots. They added just the right amount of Western flair and, most importantly, kept me comfortable all night long. If you’ve ever been to an outdoor concert or a long arena show, you know comfy shoes are non-negotiable.
I bought these studded leopard boots to take with me to Nashville for my 40th in February and haven’t had a chance to wear them since, so this was a fun night to break them out!
The Hat
And finally, the finishing touch: a hat. Not only did it tie the whole outfit together with that signature country feel, but it also made me feel instantly more polished (even after a few hours in the crowd). This is the one I custom-made in Nashville at Rustler Hat Co. over my birthday weekend!
I loved how this outfit struck the perfect balance—casual enough to feel like me, but styled enough for a special night out. It’s proof that you don’t have to overthink a concert look. A good graphic tee, a standout piece like a crochet skirt, and the right accessories can take you from “what do I wear?” to “I nailed it” in minutes.
Here are the accessories I wore to pull the look together:
So tell me—are you more of a boots and jeans concert-goer, or do you like to dress it up a little for a night like this?
