Hello! Get ready for things to start picking up around here. My favorite time of the year is upon us and I can’t wait to kick off the holiday season on the blog with you today with my first Holiday Gift Guide of 2016!
Do you need to spice up your living room coffee table or could your shelfies use an upgrade? Have you ever struggled with ideas for your own holiday wish list or with what to give your bestie, mom, sis or aunt that loves to decorate their house, but seems to already have the perfect styling accessories?!
Raise your hand! Yes! Me too.
It’s no secret that decorating and redecorating spaces in our home is hobby [or should I call it a sickness?!]. I just can’t seem to keep my hands of those little nooks around the house like nightstands, bookcases and coffee tables. And now with our new dining room completed after the One Room Challenge this Fall, I now have a new bar cart and new-to-me hutch, both of which will probably receive some styling love every now and then.
Today, I’m sharing a holiday gift guide for some of my favorite styling accessories — BOOKS! Setting them out on your coffee table, placing a vase pf flowers on a stack of them on your bedside table or using them to create additional height, color and interest on your mantel or bookcase. They truly are a home decor staple in my eyes.
So get ready. I’m sharing 39 of my top coffee table book picks at several price points. Pick a few up for holiday gifts or stick a couple in your shopping cart for yourself. I won’t tell! They make a great stand-alone gift or paired with a nice candle or bottle of wine, they would also make a fabulous hostess gift! Read on and stock up. You’ll probably recognize several titles from spots in our home…
Or most recently in our new master bedroom featuring a fun wallpaper accent wall…
And in the dining room I madeover for the One Room Challenge!
do you see them peeking out on every other shelf? and then below I stacked some on the lower shelf of the bar cart, too.
…and if I don’t already own them, you can bet I have SEVERAL on my wish list this season. My goal is to fill up the library, so I’ll just keep buying them.
HA! Are you cracking up?!! No, we do NOT have a library in our house, but I’m going to need one after this Christmas!
Enjoy!

These books are stylish, timeless and make fabulous conversation starters. Not only are they pretty on the outside [with some sweet-looking spines], but they are also good reads, too. They are filled with eye-candy as well as helpful tips and tricks for decorating, fashion, travel and more.
Plus, I love typography, so a bold, fun title is another way to incorporate some interesting “words” in a space.
I always get asked where I got that “black and white striped spine book”. It really is the perfect shelfie accessory. And did you catch how pretty & blingy this book’s cover is? And similarly, this one’s gold spine? I’m slightly obsessed with the south, after visiting Charleston after Haven this past year and Savannah after Haven last year. so this book and this one are darling! Plus, my blogging bestie, Heather from Southern State of Mind always shares the cutest southern decorating ideas, diy’s, recipes and travel spots! I wouldn’t call myself a trendsetter or fashionista but I do appreciate fashion and love to stay in the know of stylish trends, so Christian Louboutin, Tory Burch and Louis Vuitton are fun ones to scoop up! Actually, I’d take ’em all 😉
Which ones are you going to gift? How many are going on your own personal list?!
Be on the lookout for a round-up of Black Friday sales and deals in an upcoming post and more Holiday gift guides, too. I’m going to be mixing gift guides in with the rest of my holiday decorating and diy posts, so are there any special things you’d like to see? What kinds of gift guides should I get working on for you? Please leave me a comment and let me know!
Happy early Thanksgiving, friends!
