A simple and stylish bar cart set-up just in time for Summer entertaining! A bar cart is the perfect little nook for storing bottles, glasses, displaying flowers and serving drinks. Read on to see How to Style a Bar Cart for Summer!
I haven’t been styling and re-styling our bar cart all that often lately, so when it was time to spruce up the dining room for Summer and I went all out with Tropical vibes [lots of pineapples, palm leaves and leopard], I decided the cute little bar cart in the back deserved a little Summer lovin’ too. I didn’t do anything special, but thought I would share a few more photos of how it looks right now since you only saw a peek of it when I shared the Tropical Table & Summer Dining Room.
HOW TO STYLE A BAR CART FOR SUMMER
Fresh flowers, sparkling lemonade, a handful of white wine and liquor bottles and glassware was all it needed to take on a fresh, new look and instantly transform into a Simple & Stylish Summer Bar Cart!
1 // ADD FRESH FLOWERS
Honestly, I didn’t do much more than grab a variety of inexpensive, fresh white flowers and a couple bottles of sparkling lemonade while I was at Trader Joes and the rest of cart came together with things from around the house.
2 // DISPLAY LIQUOR BOTTLES & SEASONAL MIXERS
For safe-keeping, we store all of our liquor bottles on the top shelf of our pantry, but decided to pull down a few bottles to keep on the cart for awhile. The clear ones, the blue one and then the glass decanter of rum came down and went on the bottom of the bar cart.
3 // CHIC GOLD OBJECTS
Next to it I placed 4 of my favorite wine glasses, the two pineapple shot glasses and my go-to gold styling orb.
I use it to style nearly every space around here lately, I think it’s about time I purchase a second one. I’m pretty sure it comes in another size, so maybe I’ll have to pick one up! I love how it looks styled on a bookshelf, coffee table, mantel and now here on the bar cart. I even had the gold orb sitting on a stack of books on the top shelf of our kitchen cabinets with the clear glass fronts. I’m telling you, it just works everywhere!
4 // WINE & COCKTAIL GLASSES
The top shelf holds a large clear vase with a mix of white flowers, a bottle of San Pellegrino [mainly because I wanted the pop of green ha! but also because we always have it on-hand] plus 4 cocktail glasses and 4 more of the same stemmed wine glasses as are on the bottom.
5 // ALL THE PINEAPPLE THINGS!
Next, I plopped a small faux succulent vase and a gold pineapple bottle opener and wine stopper and that wraps up the top shelf! Oh, I almost forgot to mention the tall black pineapple on the right. I found it at HomeGoods earlier this year in the kid’s decor section. It’s actually a little coin bank and was only $7!
I spent next to nothing to re-style the bar cart for Summer and I adore the way it looks right now!
In fact, I think my entire Dining Room is going to look this way through August [with the exception of the fresh pineapples we took from the table’s centerpiece and used in a tasty Summer Salsa I shared earlier this week!].
Are you still sprinkling bits of Summer decor around the house?
I need to stop with the inside zhushing and head outside to finish sprucing up the back deck. Once I do, I plan to share how it turns out with you guys. It will be simple, but a few changes since last Summer so probably worth sharing! Have a wonderful weekend 😉
