Hey, hey out there! I hope you’re all doing well in week 4 of social distancing! Friday is here, but unfortunately Fri-yay just doesn’t quite have the same ring to it now, does it?! Either way, I’m happy to have a mini break from the e-learning routine and a long weekend in celebration of Easter. I’m here today with The Friday Five where I share all the tidbits of random finds, sales, recipes, memes, etc. rounded up throughout the week!
Come in and cozy up for this week’s edition!
THE FRIDAY FIVE
ONE || QUARANTINE MANTRA PAJAMAS
I can’t think of a more perfect loungewear set to sport around the house than these! #pajamasallday was our mantra even before I got these!
This top + bottoms set is so incredibly soft and cozy! I have the color: gray melange in a size small, but all colors are pretty! They are pretty generous in size, so if you want them slightly more fitted, you could size down.
The oatmeal set was a close contender and my mom ordered the purple. Adorable!
You can see all of my recent loungewear finds in this post here.
TWO || RECIPE WE DEVOURED
I picked up some Turkey meatballs from Trader Joe’s last week and they accompanied our spaghetti this week. I also substituted TJ’s carrot and zucchini spirals for traditional spaghetti noodles for T and I. The boys still got the good stuff!
I was looking for something yummy to go alongside and remembered my neighbor had just told me about these mini garlic monkey breads that you make in muffin tins. I had all the ingredients on hand, so we made them to go with our spaghetti and meatball dinner and they were every bit of delicious as they sound.
Gooey, buttery, cheesy and easy to pull apart. The boys couldn’t get enough. I did my fair share of taste testing, myself.
THREE || HOME SCHOOL ORGANIZATIONAL TIP
Prior to the first week of distance learning, I got the dining room set-up to convert to our classroom. I cleared the table and brought out spirals, folders, writing tools, craft supplies and paper.
Everyone had their “spot” and we figured out our groove. Although we had a dedicated working and learning space, one thing we didn’t have a handle on was tidiness and organization. The table was destroyed by the end of each day and you could no longer see the surface!
I grabbed a couple of baskets from above the laundry room cabinets, emptied them and dedicated one for each of the boys’ papers, books and folders.
I flipped the label over and wrote their names on the them. We have a bench along the window wall so was able to slide the baskets underneath for store their things when they weren’t using them.
Now each boy has easy access to their things and also knows where to put stuff away when our school day is over! And bonus I didn’t have to spend any money on new baskets or bins. Anything will work even if you just stick a tote in the corner of the room!
FOUR || DARLING & INEXPENSIVE GIFT IDEA
I got some S&D happy mail this week and just had to share these darling Inspo Wrap Bracelets from our KEEP Collective line. Each bracelet is filled with various metal beads and has a dangling charm that signifies a special meaning.
“LOVE” STRETCH TRIO BRACELET || GOLD BEAD STRETCH BRACELET || ROCKSTAR WRAP BRACELET
I have “Rockstar“, but others include Love, Calming, Strength, Mom, Protect, Growth, Friendship, Family and Faith. There are also beautiful birthstone options.
The Inspo Wrap bracelets are $19 each and look so beautiful layered in a stack of bracelets or alone!!
What a sweet way to show a friend or loved one how special they are or how much they are missed!
Gift the Protect bracelet to your favorite nurse or someone going through tough times. The Friendship one to your bestie you miss seeing right now. And of course it’s not too early to start shopping for Mother’s Day – the Mom bracelet is sweet, simple and special.
FIVE || MEME[s] OF THE WEEK
If these don’t sum up what being quarantined with 3 kids is like, then I’m not sure what does!
While I love my children dearly, sometimes the days feel like I’m running on a hamster wheel with cold coffee and “MOM!!” as a constant echo in my ears!
Can you believe school has been out for 4 weeks now? Some days I think its’s felt like actual months and then other days I feel like I blinked and a month went by. It’s crazy how times does that to you.
Or being quarantined with your husband and 3 kids does ha!
Have a wonderful Easter weekend, friends! I know my boys are counting down the hours until we watch the new Trolls movie tonight and also until the Easter Bunny comes on Sunday!
Stay safe, stay healthy and stay home. xxoo
