Hi there, friends! It’s finally Friday and I’m so happy to be back here chatting with you! I didn’t post The Friday Five last week since I was participating in a Summer Drink Recipe hop [where I shared my Summertime Beer-ritas in case you missed it] with several other bloggers on that Friday. So needless to say, we’ve got a lot to catch up on! In today’s The Friday Five, I’m back with more random happenings, finds, sales & more so come join me!

THE FRIDAY FIVE

ONE || THE SEASON FOR WHITE JEANS

White denim is absolutely one of my closet staples. They pair with all tops, tanks, sweaters and jackets from Spring through Summer. My last couple pair have been skinny jeans, but recently tried these straight leg raw hem pair and love the fit! They are thick, but still very stretchy and the ankle is darling. These are more of a mid-rise which I don’t mind since my skinnies are all high-rise.

I have a blog post coming soon sharing several pieces from NYDJ including this pair of white denim.

I’ve recently worn them with my favorite black cami and my Tiger tee. I love white jeans with a denim jacket layered over any top. They run big, so size down [I’m in a size 2].

TWO || THE DECK IS DONE!

The deck boards are down and I couldn’t be happier! I shared the before photos and the mood board plans that we started with this Spring. Now that Summer is officially here, we are so thrilled to have our little hangout spot back [without the risk of sharp nails and wood splinters from the old rotten boards!]. The maintenance free Trex boards are great and I love the color.

THREE || AMAZING  LUXE FEATHER PILLOWS + A FATHER’S DAY GIVEAWAY

Who can deny a comfy, cozy spot to lay down and rest your head at night?! Comfort is key and I don’t think it was until we had kids that I learned to truly value a good night’s sleep! Silky smooth sheets, a fluffy comforter and NICE pillows are what I’ve come to value. And of course how rare and precious sleeping in actually is ha!

FOUR || SERIOUSLY GOOD WALMART FINDS

Watch out Amazon, Walmart is stepping up their game. I’ve found so many cute items lately, I created an entire Walmart Finds page! Over the last few weeks I’ve shared them on Instagram stories, but thought I would round up a few here on the blog for you.

Including these adorable animal print sneakers. They’re $18 and SO comfortable! They do run large though. I’m a 7.5-8 and they accidentally sent a size 7 that I decided to keep anyways. Don’t necessarily size way down, but if you’re in between sizes normally, then go with the smaller size.

I have a very narrow foot, but I still have plenty of room in the length as well. They even come with a memory fit insert that is so nice! Great for a casual outfit running errands!

FIVE || MY BABY IS TURNING 2

Sigh. Our 3rd little guy turns 2 tomorrow and it just doesn’t seem right! I was just bringing him home to his brothers yesterday! Time sure does have a way of sneaking up on you. They always say the days are long, but the years are short and I’m reminded of it almost daily. Lately, the long days part ha, but I have come to realize these moments are so precious. The kisses, the giggles, the skinned knees and missing teeth. I’ve had a lot of time to soak it all in lately and I’m truly cherishing our time together.
