The Friday Five

Hi, friends! After spending some time away, we are settled in at home and trying to get back in the swing of things. It was so nice spending some quality family time away from our normal routine. But now I’m back to work because I’ve got SO much to share with you guys in the coming weeks. The Nordstrom Sale is in full effect, several house projects are underway [with a new one or two on the docket ;)] and not to mention Fall will be here before we know it!  And today, I’m here with this week’s The Friday Five!

THE PERFECT $11 SUMMER NIGHT SWEATER

I first shared this cute oversized crochet sweater in this 3 Summer Outfit Ideas post and now that it’s on sale for $11 [reg. $34.99] I couldn’t help but share it again! Especially because it turned out to be the perfect little Summer sweater for a cool night on the Lake. You never quite know how midwestern weather is going to fare, but one thing you can count on is change! up and down with no consistency!

The sweater is lightweight enough to wear now with shorts or jeans, but could also be worn with a layer underneath as we enter the Fall. Love this thing! And you can’t beat the price!

LIVING OUR BEST LAKE LIFE

We just got back from a couple days off the grid at my grandparent’s lakehouse in Minnesota. We spent the days and nights on the water, boating and relaxing, while the boys gave tubing a try for the first time.

Even the littlest!!

They also spent some time fishing, skipping rocks and swimming. All the lake life things!

I unplugged for a little while and soaked up the last few pages of my book and even started the next one in the 3 part series! I’ll share the details with you guys next week!

It was nice to spend a few days away where we didn’t watch the clock because there was nowhere to be and nothing to do except enjoy our time together. I’m so thankful the boys got a mini break from their normal routine and before the our new normal sets back in when school resumes [virtually] at the end of the month.

We all needed some sunshine and lake living!

ALL THE CHARGERS BECAUSE WE ALWAYS LOSE THEM

I don’t know about your family, but it seems like everyone in our house is constantly yanking chargers from one outlet and moving it to another! Then when I go to charge my phone, it’s not there!

We have this charging dock in our kitchen [I shared it in this Favorite Amazon Purchases post], with this multi charging port / nightlight [love this thing!] near it and then for maximum charging capabilities, we like to use these dual port charging blocks.

I recently purchased this 3 pack for $9.99 to have a spare laying around or to take with us when we travel. We always seem to lose them after a trip, too! In fact, we just did ;/

I love this multi-color pack so each family member could use a different color so there is no fighting or arguing over whose is missing!!

These lightning cable cords are great to have in various rooms where you might need more length in certain places vs. others. I like to have the long one [6′ or 10′] by my bed and the shorter ones at the charging station.

NO BAKE CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COOKIES

My mom made these delicious no bake chocolate oatmeal bites and stuck them in the freezer for us to help ourselves to while we were visiting. They were SO yummy! She said she caught a blip of the recipe on the Food Network one day and had to run out and get the ingredients right away because they looked that good.

I love Giada’s recipes so no surprise we gobbled them up! I plan to make them soon.

They are the perfect mix of sweet & salty which is totally my weakness 😉

And they’ll be a great snack to put in the rotation since I’ve been making our Peanut Butter Energy Balls so often!

Have you shopped the Sale yet? I know how highly advertised the sale is from all of us influencers, so I’m sure it can get overwhelming to know what you want to purchase on your personal access day.
